Feedback Desired: My Vision for this YouTube Channel in 2024 

Terrific video! I see women of all ages on YT who do not work, so sometimes it's hard to relate to their content because I can't relate to their lifestyle. I'd like to see a workday get-ready-with me, plan-with-me, what's-in-my-workbag, how to make work and life more harmonious, thoughts on manifestation, etc. I personally could not share a lot about my own workplace, but I am always eager to hear how other women navigate the issues that come along with the workday. Vlog style is fun, but any format works for me. Thanks for asking!

One thing I would love to see on your channel in 2024 are vlogs. A day in your life etc. Also, maybe more Q&As. Those are the types of videos that I especially enjoy. The only thing I'd add is that I find the other miscellaneous personal topics you've shared to be so interesting and thought provoking (for example, your history with meditation). So please keep telling us about yourself whenever you're so moved. Thank you so much for your creative contributions on RU-vid. I know on one level, we're talking about simple things like silver hair and beauty. But it's more than that on other intangible levels, which is so lovely. I enjoy videos that contain your thoughts on women our age and older, fashion, skincare, etc but also enjoy vlogs, travel vlogs, declutters. We have a lot in common so I enjoy your stories and get ready with me. I prefer long content but that’s just me. Glad to have you back ❤

I typically use RU-vid for product reviews, decluttering, organizing, new release commentary. But I do follow some channels who dabble in other areas too. But honestly, I skip those videos when they pop up. I would recommend picking a niche to stick to if your goal is channel growth. But the 80/20 rule probably works - 80% niche and 20% experimenting. You won’t lose subscribers who are here for the 80% and you’ll still get to experiment and feed your creativity.

Your channel is one of the only curly grey hair ones i watch. Going forward, I'd like to see more hair styling and GRWM to see how to not look washed out with my silver curls.

Dear Beth- First of all, Happy New Year! You look so beautiful as always, and much of that is your approach, creativity, kindness, and generosity shining through. Thank you for being transparent about your considerations, goals, and desires. It’s refreshing to hear such honesty instead of buy buy buy, and sell sell sell. There’s of course room for some of that, but I honestly think RU-vid has become a sea of that without much else. I have also had an unannounced break due to some life challenges + a big move (the result is great, the 6 months before, difficult). This all brings me to answer your question of what I’d like to see (and what I’d like to do!) with an answer of: I just love your approach, style, interests, creativity, and will likely find anything you do interesting. But really what I love most these days is people who use + share what they actually love, experience, wear, find inspiring… this could be beauty, fashion, health, creativity/art/culture, cooking, spirituality, collecting, traveling… just about anything, While I watch a broad slate of people, backgrounds, and topics, I find myself coming back to, and feeling my best after, people show me how to consider + value what I have, to create my own art, and to grow as a person. And frankly, it’s refreshing to find some folks who are close to my age. Thank you so much for sharing who you are!

Silver hair care. style and beauty reviews please incorporating your insights on life, aging etc. love the Detroit ‘come walk with me’ idea. Would love to see another corner of our planet. Not so struck on the shorts - but then I’m older and value my attention span 😄

I think one of the most valuable product review aspects is the real life work test and wear test. In your case, it seems natural. With all the changes in your life, it seems natural to integrate your product reviews with the real life tests. I enjoy your openness about your experience with RU-vid and the learning and creative curve you are experiencing. Everybody seems to love your haircare and hairstyle and fashion journey so much and I’d suggest you keep doing it. I think all of us are living in a world where we can appreciate how to live and explore our own communities. Social interaction is so important to our mental health but we can all relate to the adventure and excitement of a vacation in our home town. I’ve never been to Detroit but I’d love seeing it through your eyes. You mentioned getting energy from the community of Silver Sisters and maybe that is a good focus for your features on Detroit? I like your channel better than most because of your personality and informal format. Not taking on product sponsorship is a big plus to me. I loved your fashion, hair, and makeup videos for a personal look into options which are not being hawked for making a commercial gain on the part of the product company. The best is always a personal outlook from a beautiful funny woman of many talents and dreams. Keep up the great videos and have fun.

Just a heads up, the thanks system from RU-vid takes a huge percentage so you don’t see much of it. I turned mine off because I didn’t want people to think I got all their “donation of thanks” because I actually received so little. I would love to see your vlogs. Hair care would be great. I agree on the creative control issues. AI is very ethically nuanced, having watched what has happened in the film industry with computer art vs. set design and the fact that scenic crews are not taking on and training new artists, it makes me concerned for human generated graphic art and the artists who make a living from it. I like your plans for 2024. I really enjoy your product reviews, and follow-ups, your videos like the Lisa LaFlamme one, the ones where you show and discuss grey hair ladies we “know”, your videos on the Kibbe body styles. I’m not as into makeup videos, as that’s not something I use much of, especially higher end makeup. That’s just me.

BTW- would love to know what you did to your hair. It is absolutely gorgeous-like spun silver!!!
