Something really calming about sitting on the edge of a lake or loch away from everyone, just fishing as apposed to the sea fishing. I will have to get away when everything in the world has calmed down and do a bit more of this.

Not asking for spots, but what sort of areas are worth trying and do I need a permit? I'm going to the loch to try soon.

Hi Steve, you do need a permit, you can get day permits from Glasgow Angling, shop at Luss, shop at Balloch across from opening to balloch country park. Balmaha and Auldochlay are my usual spots from the shore, you’ll get roach in most places around the Loch in summer but this time of year you need depth 20-30ft. Tight lines buddy👍

Hi Josh, yes you can get a season ticket for the Loch £75. You can get them online at Loch Lomond Angling Improvements Association or in store Glasgow angling centre. Day tickets can be purchased at various places. Luss gift shop, newsagents Bank st Alexandria. £10 cheers mate
