Feeding a multitude 

I was raised in a cult very similar to this. It was one big family as long as you obeyed the rules but there was always a deep, hidden sadness in me until I got out. Even then, it took me almost 2 decades to get my depression & anxiety & chronic illnesses under control. It seems different with this clan but we will probably never know the secrets they keep from the general public. Hopefully she's as happy and content with life as she seems.

@Greatest Ever ~ Hutterites are average ppl, just like everyone else. My parents left the the colony with my family when I was six. I would not call it a cult. You can leave whenever you want, and no one can stop you. They have their problems just like everyone else, because they’re human, but the vibe of the colony depends on the person in charge, and that is the minister. We loved going to visit or my aunts and uncle’s and grandparents during the years we’ve left. With the exception of one, the one we left, we were welcomed, and had a great time visiting. Most colonies are OK, some are not, but believe me, Adina is not under some bondage, pretending for the camera ( I can easily say that, never having net her by what I see). If she were in a colony like that, she would NOT be allowed to do what she’s doing, so you can trust her videos are sincere, and she’s in a good one. I’m sorry about your painful past :)

@@2ysur2ysib my cult allowed us to leave too but without support from friends and family. That makes it very hard (almost impossible) to establish a life outside their boundaries. I watch old videos of myself and see that I acted much like Adina. You would NEVER know the pain and turmoil I was going thru. We learned to hide our true emotions and pretend to be happy no matter what.

@@greatestever8976 sadly those cults have left a lasting Mark on many and a bad stereotype of anyone living in community setting, and sadly you are now a victim of that stereotyping yourself. Just because you had a bad past, you now label and judge everyone and anyone and anything that even looks remotely similar. That's bondage, and you dear are depriving yourself of so much, because you are looking at the world through a muddy rear view mirror. Jesus came for you too. He loves you and can deliver and set you free. Matt. 11:28-30. Blessings

I think that’s important for all families. Studies have shown how your children will function as teens and adults based on did you have a family dinner at least 5 days in a week or not. Statistics show those without family dinners together struggled more as they grew up and entered adulthood.
