Sorry to hear that, I just had to put down leopard gecko yesterday. It’s hard saying goodbye but I bet you gave him a great 9 years.

This may be a bit gorey, but have you tried pulverizing superworms/hornwoms and tossing the other bugs in the goo? Sort of like how when you're swapping out cat food you mix some of the new brand into the old and gradually reducing the mixture

Yes I did that one time end it's every day routine and care. Especially when the crickets get older, they simply become more dirty.But what discouraged me the most was the noise. If only I had a room where I could keep them and not hear them😂 But I had to keep them in the bedroom and in the evening they could be heard throughout the entire apartment.

I tried to breed crickets for my bearded dragon last year and it wasn't so much the smell or the noise that bothered me, but I just could not get them to breed and lay eggs, even though I had the heat(temperature at around 80 F is good for breeding, or at least, that's what I've heard is high 70s-low 80s range) and the soil for them to lay their eggs in and everything. I think it might be because I got them as large crickets and so I'm thinking they were probably just too old. But yeah, no stink, easy to maintain as living adults, even if they weren't breeding like I hoped. I had my dad put vermiculite in the cricket breeding setup as the substrate and I had a water dish(not a smooth one, but a rougher, more grippy one, and very few actually drowned in there) and I'd give them things like apple slices, you know, hydrating food that is also bearded dragon safe, so no citrus. And they had plenty of hiding area too. And yeah, the sound never bothered me, they didn't stink, I just couldn't get them to breed is all and so I think they were just too old when I got them. Of course, now my bearded dragon only eats crickets once every 2 to 3 days cause he's almost 2 years old now, so I don't really need them breeding right now, especially since I just have the 1 bearded dragon and no other reptiles, but, you know, I tried.

I am trying to breed crickets and it’s a nightmare rn 😅 they’re good for your geckos, but oh MY GOSH! my crickets keep dying randomly, and the setup smells like a farm! My crickets eat dirt, only eat cucumbers (for some reason they don’t eat carrots or lettuce), eat some spagnuhm moss I added, and eat eachother! I’m pretty sure they only cricket when they die.

Your cresty will be okay! If my memory serves correct the packet itself says the food is okay for 36 hours, so 24 is fine. If you’re super nervous, just monitor their poop for odd colours/consistencies and check for any odd behaviours, if you spot anything you should take them to the vets, but it’s almost definitely fine. They’ve probably gotten their mouths on far worse in the wild/in their tank (i.e eating a cricket that crawled through their poop)

How big is the tank? She may want mote space

Just let it grow back and keep it away from germs that could get it infected

Just keep it's environment clean and keep it on paper towels until it's healed up. Try to avoid bacteria build up
