I've made Mexican lasagna for about 20 years. I add one can of refried beans, added into cooked hamburger and one can of diced tomatoes or salsa (another $1.50) and it makes it stretch further and taste amazing.

The pasta bake using both Alfredo sauce AND spaghetti sauce was unusual. I never would have thought to do that, and evidently it’s very good..😃 It’s so thoughtful of you to aim some of your content towards budget friendly meals. We all can benefit from it! Thanks Tamara!…😉💗

I made and served your Ham and Broccoli Frittata for the family dinner, and they LOVED it! Since I am rounding the corner to 80 years along with standing-too-long problems, I found this so very easy to make. THANK YOU! I already had on hand grated parmesan, extra sharp cheddar and medium cheddar cheese so that is what I put on top. SO DELICIOUS. This is a winner and also delicious microwaved leftovers were devoured by me over a couple days!

Everything looks delicious! I made a pasta bake like that last week, so good and the leftovers reheated well. That’s fascinating that the taco seasoning is a different price in the different section of the store, I’ve never notice that before!

It is also much healthier to grate your own cheese as the pre grated stuff contains ingredients to keep it fresh and keep it from sticking together.

All of these recipes look delicious! I love you tips for saving money at the store and I didn’t know that there was a price difference for the taco seasoning based on what part of the store it is at, so I will definitely keep an eye out next time I’m shopping!

The taco bake looks delicious. Reminds me of enchiladas but more open faced or deconstructed if that makes sense 😂. Either way, looks amazing. Happy Easter!!

Try Polish versions of budget meals. First: potato pancakes- grate a couple of potatoes, add salt, pepper, two tablespoons of flour, one or two eggs (it depends of how many potatoes you used). Fry the pancakes on a frying pan with some oil (2-3 tablespoons should be on the pan each time so you need to add it gradually as you fry). Serve with sour cream and a pinch of sugar. That takes time but it is delicious. If you want something quicker boil a couple of peeled potatoes in water with a pinch of salt (or more). Fry an egg- sunny side up, grate a cucumber, add salt and pepper and a bit of sour cream. Serve the egg with the potatoes and mizeria (the cucumber with cream). Enjoy :-) ❤

We love the pasta bake, the recipe I found called it Two timing pasta which I thought was funny. One great thing abt casseroles is depending on your family size, there are lots of leftovers. Only 2 of us, so after 1st meal, I divide what's left in 1/2. One in 8 ×8 glass dish to put in frig then rest I. 8 & 8 foil pan I get at DT. They come in so handy, like you were talking abt Winston playing ball, you can get 1 out of freezer in morning & pop in oven & much less mess to clean up. Great yoo if you are sick or not feeling great❤

If you make a bechamel base sauce and just add a bit of cheese cheddar specially, you can make a wonderful Alfredo with less cheese and much healthier and better tasting than the canned Alfredo stuff

Oh yeah! It would be like a taco crescent ring. I’d do one at the bottom add you taco meat mixture, cheese and top with another dough. Bake at 350 25-30 minutes 🤤❤️
