This year, I’m feeding my meat chickens a 25% broiler feed in the morning and equal amount of sweetgrain in the afternoon, I ate one of these chickens already just last night, and it was so freakin delicious…

I gave my birds scratch mixed with feed. They were extremely healthy and gave me lots of eggs. I started selling them.

What about getting eggs for hatching? Would you offer scratch? Or would you keep them with layer pellets?

I suggest not feeding scratch to breeders. On account that they need precise nutrition in order to produce quality chicks. I will try to make a video on a breeder diet.

If your chickens are true free range withs acres to roam. Not in a net. Then scratch is all they need. If they are locked up then they need a formula diet with limited or free choice scratch.
