I have watched many videos on this subject, but this is by far the most informative. Thank you for literally showing me how wrong I have been about feeding habits.
You can't find live Blackworms anywhere on the West Coast. I am going to take your advice and start working on a solution to what has become a serious problem for me personally. I am guessing I am not alone.
Great Video! I have had some of these questions for a long time now and you cleared up a great deal of it. I Made the mistake of feeding some of my centerpiece fish live Blackworms. Now I can't get them. I am going to lose some fish if I can't turn that around ASAP.
I'm very curious about your filtration. What filter media do you use, how much, tips, sponges, etc. I think a video about that will be very usefull for discus keeper. Nice teachings, the best about discus in RU-vid
Thank you! I use two canisters made by OASE . No Carbon I replace the carbon with ceramic or Volcanic rock bio-media. Sponge and Bio-balls. You can never have to much filtration.
Hi George. This is about my 3rd time watching this great video. As you know I will be acquiring some Discus in the near future. I already have picked up 3 different nutritious foods. I originally purchased a frozen food but I returned it because it has bloodworms in it. It did say parasite free but I didn’t want to take a chance. My frozen food will be the one the hatchery feeds their Discus. Thanks, Marty Borst
A very Timely video for me. I can't find California Blackworms anywhere on the West Coast. I made this mistake and now paying for it. As always, I will try your suggestions.
No one can. I think you will start to see them back in Mom and Pop stores in late March. I made the same mistake as many of you here. I talked with George several times and got this back on track. At a minimum send this guy some "THANKS" dollars for his time.
A great video. It would appear some have not been paying attention. I don't feed any live foods. I learned the hard way. Thanks again for the great content my friend.
