Have you tried the splay in person? When I wear them, the toe box looks awful when I look straight down, but when I look in the mirror they look great. From most angles in person they look (at least to me) much more normal than they look online/from my perspective wearing them and looking down
They're in the US so I can't get them because of cost and I also don't prefer their toe box design. There is indeed a big difference in all shoes when you look from above and when you look from a distance.
