I read that yours shoes have wider toe box. I have problems with fascite plantar and the only way is walking in barefoot but not possible in public places. My feet are rettangular, shorts and wider toe. Last year they were less large but without shoes they splay in the back too. For the transition I used zero drop but with some amortization and I am not happy with that kind of shoes: I need barefoot. I am in Italy.

Haha, Which Vivos did you get? I think they look pretty sweet though I have worn barefoot shoes for so long I think my mind may be warped. 😅

@@PeteOnPurpose I got the Vivobarefoot Primus Trail II FG, as I mostly do my running and walking on the trails. They are all black so I can wear them out sometimes I guess but I'll need something else for work or meals out with my better half.

I hate socks, even toe socks but it's a nice option because certain shoes smell awful if you don't wear socks 😅 my vivo geo racers get pretty bad without socks

Hey Sam, I have not worn the Xero Prios and I also no longer have my Feelgrounds original Knit so I cant offer much advice. I would maybe order some and if they are not right, you can return them? I do find my feelgrounds boots more than wide enough in the toe box, for my fat footed self. 😊

@@PeteOnPurpose I saw the brands Xeros and Vivo. Some look good. Reviews off amazon though show heals come past within a few months for a $100-$160 shoe though

@@smallnuts2 i have never had problems with any of my shoes and i have lots of friends who also wear barefoot shoes. I think you only hear horror stories online?

The soles on feelgrounds are actually pretty thin however from looking at their website it seems like they have recently changed, so I am not sure what the new soles are like?

Oh yea I have heard of wilding they are definitely on my list of shoes to try in the future.

When mine arrive I'll let you know if they're as good as I've heard

@@PeteOnPurpose my Wildlings finally arrived yesterday after the post decided to put them on hold for a bit 🙁, but I'm super happy with them, I got a pair of Hanami's (which are discontinued and they're just selling the rest of their stock now), and I got a pair of Barn Owl's, and got 2 pairs of their "Washi" insoles since neither come with insoles, they both feel really good on my feet, the material and the fit/shape is fantastic, the shape and fit is fairly similar to my Xero shoes Prios and Aptos', with a similarly sized toe box l, but they hug my heel a bit better and I can tie them up a bit looser and still have them feel snug, and holy shit the material just feels so good on my feet, it's hard to explain other than just saying it's really smooth and soft, but yeah so far I highly recommend, I'm hoping they don't have any durability issues, but I haven't seen anyone mention something like that so I'm pretty hopeful. Oh and I got their "Tapir" cleaning kit, which I've so far only used for spot cleaning, but it seems to be really effective. Edit: actually on second thoughts, the toe box is a little bit narrower than the Xero shoes toe box, but not by much

I’ve worn mine to the gym a couple of times and they smell, so without socks I think they would disintegrate? 😅
