Feeling Behind in Life. Career Changes, Buying a House & More 

Hi sweet Sophie. Don’t feel behind sweet girl. My husband and I were married and had 2 young children when he decided to go to dental school. We were both 35. We are now 50 and I feel like life for us didn’t even start until we were 40😂😂. Just stay as happy as you are and never compare your life with others. You have a beautiful amazing family and you are such a bright light in this world. ❤️❤️❤️

I'm exactly the same, I've been renting so many different places in the last 10 years and finally feel a bit more settled in the house I'm renting now, and this landlord is allowing us to do what we want which is helping us make it feel a bit more homely. Good luck with all the little touches, I'm sure it will be beautiful 😊

I loved going to gym classes when I had my membership! I also did Pilates and yoga, and also a dance fit class (sometimes Zumba sometimes Konga). It was great to feel part of the community and also the instructor was able to help if I didn’t know what I was doing 😅

I am 35, a year ago I came out of an 8 year relationship and now I am single. I don’t have a career and even though I enjoy my job it feels like I’m not doing what I should be. I personally don’t have the maternal instinct, it’s just me and the cat and even though I am happy in my life it is so easy to feel like I am behind, not doing the right things and second guessing myself.

I feel like i need the same "alone time". Having two littles and being with them all the time, plus work, I never get me time. Maybe in the new year i will join a gym!

I’ve been renting all over the world for the past 15 years! About to turn 40 and only just had my 2nd baby girl! Everyone is in their own lane, on their own timeline 🤩💪 Anyway, it would be rather dull if everyone did everything at the same time! I wanted to travel, explore and had a career in movies working for Disney before having kids, sometimes I do think about if I had had kids younger but then I would probably always wonder if I could have made it in the movie business 😂 so you are right, it’s very easy to look at what you don’t have but you are amazing to stay focused on your beautiful family and amazing career 🥰 sorry for the essay, Sending you lots of love 💞

Just here to say that there is nothing wrong with renting. I've worked for a mortgage company here in the US in Loss Mitigation (when people get behind on their payments and need assistance) and let me tell you, owning a home is not for everyone and that is okay. SO MANY people buy a home because they think it's the next logical step in adulting and that is so not the case. No shame at all in renting.
