She doesn’t rely on the silks she rely’s on her strength, various times she isn’t tied up and just hold herself up by just holding the silks effortlessly. The performance was perfection !
I read this before I watched, and in anticipation of what you mentioned, I became disappointed. Her movements were disjointed, lots of transitions and posing. Most aerialists dance through levels, meaning they move a good distance up & down the silks (climbing, twirling, dropping, etc.) to create movement. But her dance was mostly stationary with a few spins & flips. She doesn't depend on the silks for anything other than stability, and I wish she used them more creatively than was shown. She was amazing in her own right, mainly bc of her strength and stamina, but I wouldn't go as far as to say she had real "flow". Edit: Added clarification for what "levels" means in dance.
@@kyoutube9646 - Yeah her movements aren't the most clean or dynamic I've seen, but her strength is incredible. I get the feeling that she's a former gymnast bc the silks seem like just an accessory, rather than as an extension of her (like they should be). I'm sure she'll improve with time :)
I feel like this should be a scene in a James Bond movie where she ends up being the mastermind behind all the bad ish that happens while effortlessly distracting everyone... This is stunning.
I love the character she puts into this routine, anyone can learn it and do it well but it's the way you put yourself in it and she exceeds that amazingly.
Same, i am really good at this, it's my passion, i have tried gimnastics and cheerleading but it does not make me comfortable, when i'am at a silk a feel peace, to bad i don't have nowhere to place it:(, (srry for my english, i am from México:))
That's so much excuses.... you can learn with a silk in a park and RU-vid... I did learn with a teacher some moves, but a girl with me keep practicing by her own and now she teach some stuff to who used to teach me
I absolutely love this performance. Her fluid motions and stage presence are beyond exceptional and I aspire to hold such an aura over an audience like she did.
I feel like I constantly watch silks videos, and I keep coming back to this one! I love her routine and how it goes with the song, her personality, and her outfit is fantastic!
Yes, I've come back to this routine yet again and I also want to show some appreciation for the musicality and character; it really feels like every little movement has intention and adds more to the character, in addition to being some of the best musicality ive personally seen in aerial
Such a beautiful and graceful performance! 💕 She makes all those routines look so effortless and smooth, while the fact is those all requires so much arm strength. I wish I'll be able to get to her stage one day 😂
Ottima performance capace di mantenere le pose figurali anche le.piu difficili con slanci elanisti di pura ed aggrazziata Potenza.Incredibile il senso del continuum dato alla prova.Oltremodo brava e spettacolare l'interprete. BIGHIN GIULIO RENZO
I'm not a big fan of aerial silks in general. Watching the artists try to wrap themselves in the silks to get a foot hold or set themselves up for a pose has always been so cumbersome and frustrating to watch. It takes them a while to do it, and there is not much of a way to disguise it, or else it just lacks the artistry and smoothness to do so. It always seems rushed. I almost wish there was a way to slow down even those movements to make them graceful. But I know that must take immense strength. And then it seems the ability to get the right timing on a dramatic drop into position is extremely hard. It takes away from everything. The worst part for me is when artists start climbing, and the silks are shaking and twisting. It reminds me of wrestling with sheets. I must admit this dancer had some really good moves. And she was smoother than most. Some parts I was impressed, other parts less so. I can tell she is experienced and strong. I feel like if aerial straps or poles can be beautiful to me, then surely somewhere there is an aerial silks dancer that I would also find to be marvelous. But I'm always a little let down. I want to find it just as beautiful. I want to understand it. I'm sure it requires great skill.
