this is so relatable and totally normal. what i did to help this was set up automated systems for taking care of plants. having designated watering days so you can mentally prepare for that process and having it in a visible accessible calendar was helpful for me! having all growlights automated through alexa in smart plugs and smart lights was also a game changer

Ugh I know what you mean! Sometimes I wish I had a garden so I could leave all the plants outside and let them fend for themselves with the rain and sprinkler system 😂 hope you are well 💖

YAAASSSSS!!! I'm here for this transparency! You're definitely NOT a bad plant mom! Watering gets to be such an annoying task, and winter plant care is fun at 1st and then i think we're all over it by February 🤣

Your Plants are beautiful,Thank you for sharing ,i think this can go for many things...i totally understand what you are saying. .it can be so sad for us ,we just have to keep moving forward,i lost all mine during a move along with so much else i lost my pets . .Sometimes we have to set back & go with in to understand what is really going on here .Much love to you Beauty🙏🏼💜

I totally understand how you are feeling. I have a video coming out this week about this type of thought and how I am handling it. I haven't loss the love of plants and I feel like I am constantly watering and forgetting and watering and forgetting....ugh! I have been letting more and more plants go this year and not looking to replace them accept one, my peace lily. I did buy a few new plants and I am on relax mode on buying anymore. I have empty spaces that once housed plants and I want to leave it like that. The other issue is dealing with pest. OMG, that has been a pet peeve of mine being a plant parent. There's one thing if I killed a plant vs the pest did it, I can accept it. If the pest did it, I am annoyed. Right now my monstera looks like it has some type of pest and no matter what I do, they come back. I'm tempted to throw it away and not replace it until we move into the house. Sorry for the book type response. Your video spoke to me because I have been feeling this way and I watched a video from Crazy Plant Guy about a month ago and he was feeling a way about why he hasn't made a video in awhile, etc. That spoke to me too. Thank you for your honesty.

I am glad we are all being open about feeling this way because it has been such a struggle! I agree, I was recently talking to a friend and showing off my plants very excitedly and in the back of my head I was like wow there it is I still have the love and passion! It can just be overwhelming when the plants take over your life and space, and SOO agreed there is nothing more annoying than when you do your best and the pests still take the plant 😡 I always love reading your long comments and appreciate hearing your thoughts as well, always brightens my day to see your bookish comments hahah! Can’t wait to see the video on how your handling similar feelings ❤️

I am sure many will relate to your confession. During pandemic, many collected many plants because they had time. Now social life coming back, realizing that they have too many plants. After the 2 years of collecting plants, realized some just don’t do well in their environment and very discouraged. It seems to me that many of those stopped buying plants now. Hopefully the plants’ price go down to once it was. I just got 2 Hoyas for $15 per pot. I think it’s first purchase at a plant store locally since their price went up super high during the pandemic. I killed so many plants before orchids addiction. 😅 I still have some Aroids but maybe 10 or 11. And if they die, I don’t care. I got 300+ orchids in my greenhouse. I don’t know. I started collecting plants before pandemic. I have been working full time plus more before and during pandemic so nothing really has changed. Maybe it’s time for many of those people to slow down on hoarding plants?

Such a good point with prices! I had plants before the pandemic as well but definitely had more time for them when everything was completely locked down. The prices were insane but hopefully they adjust if demand is going down. I have slowed down on buying plants myself since I have hit my limit and want to focus on the ones I have which has made me feel a lot better!
