Or an IPlay--but I think Apple has trademarked that one. * Googles * Uh...apparently IPlay has been trademarked by several people, and Sony _tried_ to trademark 'Let's Play' but 'Let's Play America', a non-profit organization, grabbed it first. Video game log, perhaps? Or maybe even 'Halo 3: ODST: DeeBeeGeek Campaign Record; Prepare to Drop'.

It's too edited to be a let's play, and has too much cut from it to be walkthrough. Stream highlights is probably the closest, although it might have too much footage per clip to have the word 'highlights' (really just depends on your definition of highlight).

to the comments here, no. for what i can explain. Spartans, "Spartans never die, they're just missing" Dr Halsey says because Spartans were suppose to be a morale secret so they cant be sure their dead because itll lose morality on hope. for ODST on the other hand, "feet first into hell" may be the 105th Helljumper Battalion motto, But ODST know the second they jump into that pod, they know they're not coming back.

I just wanted to say it feels so great to watch someone discover a nearly 2 decades old franchise and see it with new eyes. It's almost cathartic. These days, when you enjoy a franchise and you're open about it, you're likely to be bombarded with everyone's gripes about it. To see someone jump in and genuinely enjoy what it has to offer feels like validation.

Supposedly the setting of Halo infinite due to some hints from the engine trailer (Remember it's a trailer exclusively for the Slipspace engine, not halo Infinite and therefore is not an indicator for the game and should not be treated as canon) but nothing confirmed. Halo CE was Alpha Halo (Installation 04) Halo 2 was Delta Halo (Installation 05). Halo 3 was Alpha Halo (Installation 04b), recently changed to (Installation 08) by 343I. Halo 4 was Gamma Halo (Installation 03) Halo Wars 2 was Alpha Halo (Installation 04c), recently renamed to Ander's Halo (Installation 09) by 343I. All of these are a part of the lessar array built by The Ark (Installation 00) where as Zeta Halo (Installation 07) is the only surviving Ring from 12 made from The Greater Ark. Making it 3 times larger then the other rings and having ancient secrets from before the firing of the array.

well you see spartans are genetically modified, and have suits that amplify those modifications even further. ODST's are literally just freaking badasses in drop pods.

Fun fact: If you move the camera out of the scene and all the way to the frigate you can see that it has the proper name "In Amber Clad" stencilled on it instead of just a reused Forward Unto Dawn skin from Halo 3. Literally no one could spot it normally but it's there

@@kshooter3286 Yeah in the linear sections signs change to guide you towards your marked objective, sirens and smaller signs change to show you the way to the audio-logs and in some cases even stuff like signs or roadblocks / sirens will go off to warn you that theres enemies beyond that point.

The entire squad, aside from yourself and the sniper, are all cast members of the show Firefly. Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk. Fun fact; Nathan Fillion has been in every Halo game (not counting the Halo Wars games) except for the very first one, and buck is a recurring character that was even in Reach briefly. Also, when the game first came out, some people complained and said that is stops that the rookie sees the other characters perspectives after finding their clues. This isn't what's happening though. He is just following beacons and looking for the squad. The flashback sections with the other characters are for our benefit, and to give us more scenarios to play through.

ODST is honestly undertreated and brought so many different mechanics and a new way of story telling to halo and along with the setting and music really brought it all together, free roaming a city where you have no one to rely on but a city AI, vergil, who helps you find your crew and even helps tell you about himself a little but through those audio logs, looking at the environment you can see vergil talking to you, he helps you find your way with direction signs and can warn you of enemies in places, direct you to health, and the secret logs that can give a kind of alternate mission if you collect them all when you make your way to the end

Now that you've finished the game, that engineer towards the end was Vergil, He was controlling all the signs along the way, hinting you towards where you needed to go.

@@thelizardking3807 Vergil merged with the superintendent ai who has control over the entire city. He was watching via cameras throughout the whole game. The majority of the cutscenes shows some Camera footage with the Superintendent's avatar in the top right. Like the cam tracking Bucks Drop or Dares Drop.

Drakefance5 so Vergil was actually apart of superintendent and the engineer transferred it to itself. Vergil was made to protect the girl you hear in the audio logs. I’m just reading about it as I type because I never thought about that, I always thought Vergil was just the name of the engineer and he was super smart or something

@@OatsMealz Just keep your distance from the stronger elites and let the lasers help you out in the Library. Plus the AI and spawn placement is alot more fair compared to the other games (cough)Halo2(cough). There's also the added fact that the pistol was op as fuck in that game

I watch the stream on this I can't wait to see how it was edited. Oh if you need a break of EVERYTHING IN SPACE TRYING TO KILL YOU. I would ask you to give Ori and the Blind Forest a try, it is artistically a beautiful game with some of the best level design.

24:18 Cringed at this part. I'd immediately turn the canopy and start shooting back, instead of just sitting there taking damage and being fired at. In fact, the entire tank ride was painful to look at.

He isnt really good at Halo tbh, idk why he didnt just turn around to shoot at the enemies but he just kept taking shots for no reason, I stopped watching when he laserd a grunt. The lets player is a cool guy, but I have a hard time watching people who play a game that arent good at it.

They are bigger, not just because we are smaller but even when put next to other covenant, they literally get bigger in every halo being the smallest in CE and being the biggest in halo 4/5, the hunters in odst are bigger then the ones in halo 3

I would reccomend starting the missions through mission select to select some _skulls_ to use. My favorite skull is the one that doesnt effect score and gives the birthday confetti on grunt headshots.

Fun fact! You can see Miranda Keyes' frigate In Amber Clad just above the Carrier when it's about to jump! Always appreciate Halo 2's continuity with this game. Can't wait to see you play through the rest of my favorite Halo game!

When these lets plays came out I promised myself I play ODST first before watching deebee play I only now have just finished the game, and it immediately has become my top favorite halo game ever. And now, that I’m coming back to watch these videos, I’m quite excited to see what happens!

For anyone still unsure when ODST takes place. Halo 3 ODST is set during the events of Halo 2 set after metropolis mission and also for anyone asking what happened to this team. Mickey joined the rebels after Rookie was executed, romeo I forgot what happened to him, buck joined the sp4 program, dare and Dutch joined the sp4 program as well but aren’t part of osiris

ODST...one of my favorite Halo games for more than a few reasons. A big one being the POV of a regular human spec ops marine rather than a OP spartan.

This game originally began development as an expansion for Halo 3 but Bungie developed it into a full fledged game. They absolutely nailed the story and the atmosphere, this is one of my favorite games of all time.

When you're running around as the rookie go near the walls that have 5 red lights that are in a horizontal line. They open up to reveal weapons, ammo and even the occasional mongoose. Like at 8:02 when you went down that little street where you saw the stay right sign, end of that street was that horizontal line of red lights. Don't know of they always open but should proves helpful as he levels start to get a bit longer

ODST is massively underrated the whole game has such a eerie feel to it awakening to being alone in this pitch black city with that beautiful yet haunting jazz type music this was far different then the other Halos not being a Spartan having to change your way of attack this game is awesome

A lot of people don’t make the connection that the intro cutscene is directly in line with Halo 2 when Miranda flew the In Amber Clad into the slip space portal to get to Delta Halo.

Nathan Fillion not only voiced Buck, but the face model was intentionally modeled after him too. In Halo 5, they update Buck's facial features to an extended likeness to him.
