The flood aren't just fast zombies. They are fast intelligent zombies. And they get smarter the more intelligent biomass they gather. Most terrifying bad guy in sci fi. They would eat the borg for breakfast.

@@Hebdomad7 I don't even think they really classify as zombies. It's a parasite that mutates organic life with a nervous system into something zombie-like, but they have a central intelligence. I agree man, they are the most terrifying sci-fi race in existence! The Borg would get wiped out before they even know what hit them. Even by sci-fi standards, the Forerunners were ridiculously OP and the Flood brought them to their knees. It literally took destroying all life in the universe to stop them. Imagine a Flood infestation in, say, the Star Wars universe. ONI has contingencies in place in case the Flood ever consumed a Spartan. In such a case, they would nuke said Spartan and wherever he was. Now imagine if they got a Jedi... I don't think even a combined Star Wars universe could stop the Flood. Only if they act fast enough and destroy the planet that gets infected first.

The Floods are the creators who have gone mad, after being hunted and almost all killed by their creation the Forerunners. No immunity and no cure. There is only struggle, or succumb. Either way, the Primordial will have its due. We have met our creators, they have given us the answers we sought-and that is our curse.

@@mongeau98 To be fair, the Primordial could have been lying. The only indicator of the Precursors becoming the Flood is what he said. There is nothing else to prove it. The Primordial was saying shit to mess up the Forerunners and it wasn't necessarily true. That being said, I do true to believe it.

It's even implied that 343 confuses Master Chief for the IsoDidact, specifically in regards to a question the IsoDidact once asked him. 343 references it in Halo CE. "Why would you hesitate to do what you have already done? Last time you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer remains the same. We must activate the ring."

@@Omega4Productions I think this is ma sorta retcon that implies that the master chief has a geas of the didact. While halsey has an imprint of the librarian, hence why she is so hell bent on forced evolution

@@powerflumi It's obviously a latter addition (as there is no way in hell Bungie had thought THAT far ahead), but in my opinion, it's a brilliant retcon because it makes perfect sense. That line never really made sense to me prior to the Forerunner Saga, because MC never asked 343 any question of the sort, nor do I think he would, given Chief didn't know Halo's TRUE purpose until Cortana revealed it to him. He just thought it was any other weapon before that.

Just hope that he's careful, there was a video of a guy playing H2A for the first time that popped up in my recommendations and he kept accidentally skipping the cutscene right after the spoilery one (that he was skipping at his stream chat's request) and having to restart, lol.

I remember during the start of playing the Halo CE, Dee Bee Geek was asking if the graphics can be switched during cutscenes. In Halo CE Anniversary for the Xbox 360, no it could not be switched during cinematics, only during gameplay. I don't know about Halo CE in MCC for Xbox One, but I believe you still can't switch during the cutscenes. However in Halo 2 which was remastered for MCC for Xbox One, you can switch the graphics on-the-fly during cutscenes! And like previous comments below, the cutscenes in remastered mode are fantastic, they are all CGI pre-rendered videos made by Blur studios instead of the in-game engine, and they are pretty much 100% identical, word for word, scene for scene, but just look so very much more fantastic, Blur studios nailed those cutscenes perfectly! Very much recommend that you enjoy Halo 2 in remastered mode instead of OG Xbox graphics, you won't regret it!

@@patrick3876 i mean well the only reason you can skip is cos its between a pre-rendered video and the in-game cutscene, rather than two kinds of in-game rendered cutscenes as in H1. The timings of the two are also made differently which makes comparisons off. Also they still havent fixed that cut off starting cutscene in the penultimate level, people know what im talking about

@@DeeBeeGeek You may have already seen this. But make sure to only skip the very first cutscene in Halo 2A that has the two people talking, don't skip the one that plays directly after it that has the covenant ships.

Red Centurion if I’m not wrong, I believe the Hunters don’t give a fuck about the Covenant too much, or either they don’t care if they kill friendlies via friendly fire. I remember someone telling me that, I find it funny lol.

It is, those games come first in development but regards to the chronology there at the end of the war.

Halo Reach-3 is 5-6 months

Reach starts in late July and the battle on the ark is December 11

Just pity is that the only downside is having to sacrifice the classic music for remastered music. Not saying remastered music sucks, but nothing compares to the classic OST.

@@chrissonofpear1384 the ship was another species outside of the milky way galaxy. The covenant a.i. is said to not be smart so it does not understand the situation, it just wants to exist.

And Mendicant Bias may not always have been fully mechanical, either. More theoretical, that, though.

I never hated Spark. As Master Chief we blew up his home and were trying to prevent him from fulfilling his main purpose. A purpose that, if he failed, it would mean the death of all biological life NOT already Flood in the galaxy. Given the stakes, even ignoring the rampancy that he was slipping farther and farther into as time went on he was just doing what he'd been told was the right thing to do by his core programming. His actions at the end might have cost everyone everything had he succeeded in killing Chief and Johnson and the arbiter together, but Spark also wasn't wrong about the possibility of disaster from activating the ring too early. By blowing up the new and very-much-so incomplete 04 installation it might very well have taken the Ark with it, and the death-wave burst from the incomplete ring might not have even been large enough to cover the entire Ark in the first place. since he said that it would take 3 more days to complete. They'd have destroyed the new ring installation, the Ark, the remaining forces of the Elite fleet from shrapnel, and thrown away all their lives......for nothing! The portal that they all arrived through might not close down in time after the Ark's destruction to prevent Flood from escaping back through it, and then they'd have utterly doomed every living creature in the galaxy due to impatience. Faced with that situation, how could he *not* take action against you?
