One of my favorite parts out of ALL the dance shows, including Riverdance, is when the entire cast and crew come onto the stage, everyone is acknowledged and they are given flowers. It's heartwarming to me because it conveys a sense of family and team work and the excitement of the audience is overwhelming. It's bittersweet knowing that Michael is now retired. Who knows how long it will be before we see shows this " magical" and memorable again. 😢
Michael paved the way but if you watch Matt Smith and Cathal Keaney, there are guys out there who show a lot of promise. And let's not forget, a lot of the original LORD of the Dance troupe are now married and have families. I'd like to believe that some of those children will inherit their parents talent and perhaps take Irish dancing to even higher levels. If Finn O'kane has even half the looks and talent of his mom and dad, ( Bernadette Flynn and Damien O'kane ), then we are in for something really special in the future!!!!
I grew up watching lord of the dance as a kid and am still blown away by their performance as an adult. These people are global treasures in their art and it's hard not to see why. My only regret is never having see one of their live performances
My daughter and I met him in person when he was in Cleveland Ohio 20 years ago. It was Crystal's tenth birthday. He was an amazing gentleman and very kind to us both. She is now 30 and remembers as if it was yesterday. Thank you Michael. You were and are a blessing to so many. May God keep you safe 🙏❤️.

Whats sad is the beating his body took over all the years of giving people pleasure, that he cant dance anymore, there is only one Michael Flatley, there never will be another 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
This makes me sentimental too but in a good way. There's nothing wrong with you and having a cry is good when you're down, helps release a lot of pent up anxiety, stress etc. Take care of yourself :-)
