As a Canadian middle schooler of the 2009/2010 era I had no clue that Fefe Dobson, Knaan, and Down with Webster were not internationally famous, even though they were known on a smaller scale in the States and Europe, in Canada they were the hottest things out! #muchmusic
Fefe Dobson is beautiful, brilliant & so sexy with her dance moves. She is more talented than many of the artists of today. She deserves air time so everyone can hear her fabulous songs and enjoy her videos also. ❤
I wish the U.S. would have spread her music everywhere when it first came out because I would have fallen in love with her music sooner!! She needs to put out more music.. I love it!!
I've always hated this song but it holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, I had a really bad stuttering problem. People would taunt me with this song saying I was dishonest and a liar but those taunts gave me the drive to work harder, and today I greatly enjoy public speaking!
@Akasha 17 This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "overcome stammering speech" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Rincaas Stammify Blocker - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.
okay,, hearing this song again hits me in the feels. my friends and i discovered this song thru an sd card that one of them bought. it's an already used one apparently coz she found this song already stored in that tiny chip and then she made us listen to it. We really liked the song that whenever we have our vacant period, we would jam to it until our next class starts. One of them even practiced playing this on the guitar and then taught me how to play it too. Stumbling thru this song again after 8 or 7 years hits me with so much nostalgia 🥺 i miss my hs squad and it makes me wanna go back to 2013-2014.

Stuttering uses F#m-D-A-E and Behind These Hazel Eyes uses Gm-D#-A#-F - which is the same progression, just a half-step apart from each other. Add a BPM around 90 and similar instrumentation and the similarity becomes even more obvious.
Fefe Dobson is so talented, and has amazing songs. It sucks not hearing her anymore, I listen to this song everyday, honestly beautiful. I miss hearing her on the radio because she's extremely talented and her songs are so different and perfect

I notice the chorus here is different than when it was first released. The ‘if you ever really ever cared about me’ was higher like Kelly clarkson ‘behind these hazel eyes’. I wonder if that’s why they changed it?
The changes sound like time edits to me. The director might've felt the song needed to be shortened to allow for more spoken exposition. That's my theory at least.
😊I am Vietnamese and I know this song through a video of an editor who added music to a fighting cartoon video... 13 years ago I just sat and listened and didn't find out what the song was because I was too young to find it?!!
