I wish I would have found this obscure video before ordering the Scorp Mini on Kickstarter -- turns out I have three "small" cameras, as this thing is marketed for, and NONE of them are compatible. Why was this little technoturd marketed to Micro 4/3 users when hardly any M4/3 bodies and systems communicate with it?

Thanks for an informative video. I'm in the Kickstarter campain for the Scorp Mini and hoping to be able to use it, besides phone and action cams, with my Panasonic Lumix GH5s with a lightweight Lumix lens and the focus motor. I may need counterweights for stabilisation and think I'll be satisfied with start/stop video for the time being. 🤔

Is digital zoom (electronic follow focus) still going on this gimbal?

I just bought the Scorp C which is a bit beefier than the mini. My FZ1000ii balances ok and I can control the shutter with the connected cable.

Thanks for this video. Not sure of the final conclusion. Do you think it will work with a standard Panasonic GH5 (not GH5s) and standard 12-35? The Panasonic GH5 body itself is 0,745 kg. With a mounted kit 12-35, it is 1,080 kg, 10% below the announced payload limit. Should it work? Also, will it need an additional Gimbal Counterweight in term of balancing it? Not sure what is also required in term of connection compatibility. Can you please point to a specific link / URL for additonal & required cable?

I have 3 FT gimbals, all with removable batteries. I won't be buying the Scorp series with built-in batteries. i can't always be near a place to charge and need user-replaceable batts on all my stuff. Cheers.
