The Felco 8 has a generous 25mm cutting capacity, more than enough for most pruning jobs. This model has a bypass cutting action, ideal for a clean and precise cut. By bypass, what we mean is that the cutting blade bypasses the anvil blade when making a cut. The distance between these two blades can easily adjusted.
There is a small notch at the bottom of the cutting blade, this will allow you cut through wire without unnecessary blunting.
The ergonomic handles have been designed to fit perfectly into large hand.
The cutting head is angled down so you won’t be inclined to turn your wrist when making a cut, the Felco 8 feels like a natural extension of your hand, allowing you to transition from one pruning job to the next within minimum effort.
To reduce muscle fatigue when making lots of cuts throughout the day, the Felco 8 utilises a spring and two rubber shock absorbers. Situated at the tip of your thumb is a handy thumb catch, simply slide towards you to unlock or push away to lock, these are now safe to be holstered.
The total weight of these secateurs is just 245g.
