FELIP performed Bulan for Grammy's Global Spin and the first full blooded Filipino to do so.

Stell was the one who did the chants at the request of Ken. Stell was the only one who can do give justice to this, and he did it freestyle. He just listened to the samples that Ken gave him. And Stell, as usual, delivered.

Felip is if I'm not mistaken, the first ever filipino artist to represent in the Recording Academy/Grammy's Global Spin with this song Bulan. The production of the mv is top tier. He's very proud of his roots, an artist who can take filipino myths or lore into music and even his own dialect which is normally not in mainstream music until his songs Palayo and Kanako. He's not afraid to take risks and explore more of his creativity and artistry that's why he's a genre bender. The krumping dance practice perf is so on point. Fun fact, the chant intro was actually Stell and Pablo and his bro Josue helped him produce this song too.

"they look like they're summoning demons", 😆 no, it's the opposite! The native customs depicted in the choreo are for driving away and overcoming the bad dragon who ate the moon. 🐉

Bulan is still my favourite Felip song, and the line "Dahil ako lang, wala nang kulang." (Because I alone suffice) is my favourite line in all of Felip's discography. He has said in an interview that he realised at some point that everything you need to achieve your dreams is already inside you. I believe this is what he means in that line. He also mentions in Kanako and other interviews that he used to believe that powering through everything alone is enough, but that he has since learned to accept the help and company of those who truly care about him. PLUS that rhyme is sick! Dahil aKO LANG, wala nang KULANG.🔥

Now you know how talented and creative Felip/Ken is. He is phenomenal. Along with his group SB19, he makes our music industry exciting and very interesting. We are looking forward to what him and SB19 will release every time. Especially Felip. We call him genre-bender and a chameleon when it comes to his discography.

Bulan is a mythology which is one of the moon sky princesses and Haliya is his twin sister, all other siblings were devoured by the sea serpent except the twin. Bulan became mortal from being immortal and his sister is his guardian, whenever there is redmoon, it symbolizes haliya wound is bleeding from the sea serpent.

Ken/Felip is good at krumping. His body movements and isolations is so fluid and sharp. I've watched this dance rehearsal so many times. Ken is not so focus on dancing now a days, he loves singing and I miss seeing him dance. After their Bulan Dance rehearsal, they also did a dance cover of GIMME THAT by Chris Brown, with AC Bonifacio, I hope you could react to that also. They're so good.

this dance is called Krumping I guess, Ken/Felip loves krumping.

This is actually my favorite of the members' solos so far. It's so different to anything else and the lyrics in Tagalog are really strong. Felip has such a strong artistic vision for all his solo work and personally, I feel like this is the song where he's been able to express it the most clearly - in the music, the choreo, the lyrics, and the MV. Krump is also 100% his style; he does it amazingly well.

He is a really great dancer. Main reason why he is the main dancer of SB19. That’s him in the middle.😊

Bulan is one of my early favorites from Ken/Felip together with Palayo. Bulan is co-produced by Josue, Pablo's younger brother. The intro, the ethnic sounding vocals was sang on the spot by Stell and I believe he did it in just one take.

Love you three. I really enjoy watching your RVs of SB19 and their solo outings. And i am really envious of Tanya going to their Japan con, I am sure it will be a more intimate event, and there were options for a photo op 💙 (now sold out). I got a ticket for their Pagtatag Finale after waiting and refreshing the online ticket portal for almost SIX hours (sold out in less than 24 hrs sheesh!) but not the seat that I hoped for, it's the 3rd best seat, but I wanted the one with sound check and there are absolutely NO option for a photo op... I just grabbed it for it was the best available. Now back to the song Bulan 😅, i love FELIP doing heavy rock, it was his rock vibe that got me hooked into SB19 (the rest of the boys are my bias wreckers, love them all five). That kind of dance for Bulan is called Krump. It is actually more of a freestyle kind rather than choreographed which are seen in dance battles or sessions. The style is aggressive but its not meant for a fight rather to feed off the energy. I always believe Felip’s foundation in dance is Krump along with Breakdance. Krump was so popular in Southen Philippines back when he was about a kid where he is from. Most famous Krump based hip hop dance crew in the Philippines came from the south. He must have grew up watching them.
