Since trademark and copyright protection operates off of likelihood of confusion no version of Mickey or Felix is public domain just the works featuring them.
@@ABANDONED23456 Kinda, trademark law has been much abused by corporations. It wasn't meant to be used this way. Hell even Antonin Scalia called using ™ this way a mutant copyright Even if you play by the rules all it takes is for one Corp to have enough money to burn in a frivolous lawsuit. See Tarzan and Zorro.
This is one of the most innovative ways I've seen a cartoon make their world. Where instead of cartoon logic ruling the cartoon, the main character is the odd one out for being able to have it.
I watched this back when it was out, it wasn’t popular because it wasn’t in a prime time slot, it was either late at night or really early in the morn Saturday. There was lots of cartoons in the 90s
The way he always breaks the laws of physics always gets me lmao! Felix the Cat is a menace and I LOVE IT! He’s also very relatable! I really needed a good laugh! Thanx LQ! 💖💖💖😂😂😂💜💚💚
Krazy Kat is non-binary in the original comics. However in the 1930's shorts the character is portrayed as a male. And in the 1950's shorts they are female.
I didn't even know this show existed until now, but I love how so much of the essence of the original rubberhose cartoons is maintained here. Goofy physics, the general style, and even Felix doing his trademark "hat lift" and anatomical buffoonery. It really feels like a (for the time) modern adaptation of an old black and white cartoon.
I've said it in the previous video and I'll gladly say it again: if we ever do get a new Felix The Cat series, I truly hope it's done in a similar vein to the Twisted Tales series. They had a real good thing going there!
I love this video because now we have a showcase for Thom Adcox-Hernandez's take on Felix just like how the last video 2 years ago was a great Showcase for Charlie Adler's time as the character.
Oh boy, there are some Twisted Tailes of Felix the Cat content? Thanks to your video, I found out that there are still episodes I didn't finish. Hope I can find them. It was a childhood cartoon I rediscovered a decade ago and watched a lot to catch up. The show has so much meme potential but we see nothing. I tried to make a few but I am not really good at memes.
He’s so silly, I already love the original cartoons from watching it on those cheap VHS’s, but it fleshes out and gives more of everything. It’s kinda like what the cuphead show did with cuphead.
That computer animation joke is really just how I feel about computer animation in a nutshell. Also I think there’s a really funny scene in that episode where Felix reaches out of the TV and takes the remote from the family watching and uses it to rewind the episode. They use some live action clip from like the 50s and I think they dub over it.
