Same as iconic influenced reviewers, after Doug Walker, that we hope that his series immediately would cancel before we'll lose some time of understand the history and the facts. Yes, Doug is more a**hole since he did with The Walls two years ago, instead of every RU-vidrs historians.
I definitely do agree! Do feel like 50s Felix really watered down the character dramatically. And I’m really glad this show redeveloped him using his actual roots.
@@LazyQueen Fun Fact: This character was the inspiration for some "Funny Animal" characters such as Mickey Mouse, both characters being the inspiration for Sonic. What can I say, I do my research.
''OH NO! My house is ruined! Rebuilding it would be EXHAUSTING! ...you do it.'' Dear lord, the delivery of that line is just perfect. If a new Felix The Cat series ever comes to fruition, I really hope it picks up where this series left off; they had a REAL good thing going here.
@@lamiatorchani7648 I can't for the life of me picture him saying that when his house DID get destroyed, considering he was understandably more focused on... something else. If you know, you know. Also, nice! A fellow Klonoa fan! Wahoo!
@@arty_smartieslmao223 felix: *gets bag* Felix: you do it😃🙂 Felix: *kicks bag* *the bag goes miles away* *The bag goes through a baseball court* *some rsndom guy sees the bag go through the court* The randome guy: HOMERUN!! *the crowd goes wild*
Can't help but love every version of Felix 😂😂 the original was such a rascal, his original jump to color was such a sweetheart, 50s felix was cheerful and 90s felix was angsty and had a dope attitude
@@CosmicSponge2004 And plus a Citty Catlisle, from a episode: Sonic"s Song which looks similar more of Kitty Kat, a Felix's girlfriends from 20s silent shorts and 50s comics thatI think that Knight did, before original Kitty was replaced by Candy Kitty and Sheba from Twisted Tales.
Felix came out in 1919(9 Years before Mickey Mouse), and has been the greatest source of influence for every Cartoon that came after him, yet he has been Tragically overshadowed by cartoons that became more popular than him, but still there is a little bit of Felix within the DNA of Every Cartoon that exists today, and people need to remember that. *Never Forget Felix the Cat!!*
@@thisiswhatilike54 And Mickey almost got Minnie killed while showboating in a home made Airplane just because she wouldn't give him a kiss when he asked for it(nearly Six Months before Steamboat Willie was produced), no Toon is perfect.
Yeah that's right Felix The Cat is literally the first real cartoon character star who started history of animation characters (if don't count Gertie The Dinosaur).
The reason this version of Felix is my favorite, He’s got one hell of a pompous ego, and I find it extremely hilarious beyond belief! Also, he’s voiced by Charlie Adler, which gives him a slightly more mature voice than his previous incarnations!
The fourth wall break throughs makes it act like he knows he's in a cartoon the developers did a good job at this as well yes I love Felix no homo haha....
I love how when felix shudders at 2:13 the music vanishes for a moment until he goes "My magic bag of tricks will help!" It's gotta be my favorite clip in this video
That's Charlie Adler for ya. He's hilarious as the second voice for Felix. If many of you recognize his voice, that's Buster Bunny from Tiny Toon Adventures (original series).
Felix is so damn self aware that he's a cartoon character it makes it feel like he's with us right now brilliant who ever made the cartoon is a damn genius.
I enjoy this portal of Felix. He acts a bit more older then other portrayals of him. And with how insanely wacky this show can get, Felix is like the only Normal character in the show. As if he's taken from the calmer old cartoon days, to the insane and crazy cartoon worlds of the 90s.
I use to watch Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat as a kid. I remember I dressed up as him for Halloween once. Thanks for this video, he's such an underrated character and one of my all time favorites.
I never expected in my life that I would fall in love with Felix the cat. His voice actor really makes him a fun enjoyable character. Sometimes when hearing his voice in these clips I hear Ren and Stimpy like voices. Also I hear Billy from Billy and Mandy when he makes little noises. I love his voice. And he gives me such Sonic the hedgehog vibes (the original Sonic cartoons)
Kind of wish they brought this Felix the cat back. This Felix is sassy, dry and sarcastic yet has great humor to him! XD Edit: this Felix should have been in the movie. As well as the voice.
I'll never stop finding the diet coke gag funny because it's relatable lol, when I was a kid, I legitimately thought that diet coke was for weight loss or something like that... learned that the hard way. 🤣💀
season 2 felix is underrated. people were upset it wasn't the Thom dude, but Adler suits the more sassy and sarcastic way they were writing as. fun fact: maxwell atoms said he interned on the show while it wasn't doing too great back in the day
Felix belongs in that designated group of snarky cartoon characters (Yakko Warner, Sam from Sam and Max, Sonic, Bugs Bunny, Oswald…the list goes on lmao)
I really wish Felix would someday come back in a similar show to Twisted Tales. He has the potential to be a strong, lasting, icon, and in some ways, with how this show no doubt inspired the 2010s Micket Mouse shorts, I think he has. Please universal, bring back this cat, his bag of tricks, and his crazy world and friends.
Let's give Felix the Cat the respect he deserves! A cartoon icon that's been around for a whopping 100 years is a tremendous feat not many can achieve! Cheers Felix!
This cartoon has some really interesting animation. It hybridized the rubberhose vibe and gags with the 90s cartoon wacky aesthetic super well, it's enjoyable just to watch. The voice acting and delivery is very modern. Almost like something I'd hear from animation now which is very surprising. Neat!
OMG UR A LIFESAVER- this version of Felix (Charlie Adler) is one of the head canon voices for one of my characters. NOW I DONT HAVE TO GO SEARCHING FOR CLIPS FOR VOICE SAMPLES You’re literally the best thankyou 😔🙏❤️❤️❤️
I didnt know this existed but the show is pretty funny! Felix is kinda making a comeback, Universal Orlando is now selling merch of him at the property!
That clip of Felix putting on lipstick is the funniest part of the whole video. This is basically the best adaption of Felix the cat ever in my opinion.
Felix was just as sassy in the original cartoons before the voice acting. I have a DVD full of the old Felix cartoons and believe me, he's a real character.
I still remember when Felix had some relevancy. I knew lots of people who owned a Felix clock or land line phone. Yes, I'm also aware I'm potentially aging myself, but I was a kid in the 90s, so it's not too bad. Personally, I think Felix and Garfield are due for comebacks.
Fun Fact: Charlie Adler who actually Voiced Felix in Season 2 of Twisted Tales, also voiced Vincent Van Gopher in a Nickelodeon pilot called Terrytoons presents Curbside
While watching this I kept thinking "He sounds like a Rocko's modern life character.." and wouldn't you know it, it's the voice of Mr & Mrs Bighead. Sounds like them especially at 2:10 with the shudder
This feels like the bizarre intersection between futurama, ASOTH, and Spongebob. As in the crew worked on these shows. I’m not going to complain as this was one of the earliest, not the earliest voicing roles Doug Lawrence. Also Milton knight who was known for making dr robotnik animations sexiest fat man
