I can almost understand the confusion when there's 100 people in a group, that's hard to keep track of. Nonetheless, if you're part of that group, you'd hope that someone's paying attention and knows when you're missing. Very unfortunate and relatively avoidable.
It was 91, maybe a little higher in some areas. But ya.. make sure to check the weather, dress appropriately (she was in all black, long sleeve under a black T, tight black jeans, head wrap under hat), use lighter clothing that covers less (so you can sweat and the sweat can evaporate the heat away) and use sun block, bring more water than you need with electrolytes on hot days too. Stay with your group if hiking with a group. Sorry this happened, RIP.
Ikr. This was a fundraising hike, so most likely the people who come would have varying degrees of athletic abilities. Why would the organizer organize a hike knowing that the high temps for the day would be in the 90's? Especially when not everyone would be in good shape. Why not organize this hike in March or April? And the poor lady was wearing all black. Very sad. All these mistakes led to someones death. Tragic.
What? Are you fucking nut or what? I am so sure that she either graduated from SDSU or UCSD back in 90. Her ex went to the same school with me back in 1996.
