+Misty15big You can make and print your own covers for use with the Helios 30. You just need to buy glue strips to put in the spine of the cover. The covers that you make will need to have a creased spine to hold the glue strip (you can use an inexpensive scoring machine or rotary cutter with a scoring blade). You can either make the covers the exact right size or you can make them a little bit big and then use a large guillotine cutter to face trim three sides of your book when you are done

Can I use my own covers? Or am I restricted to just premade covers? Trying to bind my own graphic novel.

Hi MyBinding.com, when using my own covers, is it possible to use a hot-melt glue gun to apply the the adhesive on the spine instead of using glue strips?

#CoinCollector. We have not actually tried a hot glue gun, but once you apply hot glue you cannot remelt it. Using a glue gun would remove the need for this entire machine if you put your pages in as soon as you apply the glue. However we don't know how well that would hold, nor if it will be uniform. If you end up trying it then let us know your results! With these you can create your own covers and have the same quality of a bind.
