The Samuel Ray Revival Choir of my home church, Morning Star Baptist Church of Christ in Baltimore MD used to sing this under the direction of the late Sis. Audrey Epps Philips with the late great Edmund Meade on the organ and me (in my teens) on the piano.

I can’t help but wonder if you have Karen Hull singing “I Really Love The Lord” with The Ship. I know it’s a praise break in there too, it’s on the same service with Rev. Evans preaching “For Me”. But wow these memories. You gone make me tear this kitchen up 😢

No, those were the Coleman sisters and Dr Carolyn walker, amongst the higher ones…I feel like Sis. Mary is a true Mezzo-Soprano w range? She was hitting the higher notes on her famous lead, “He’s My Everything”
