As a guy, I’ve played around with it from time to time, pretty fun. Plus William the Conqueror keeps Normandy in 1066 (Probably so the game doesnt get confused if he gets England without any land)

Personally, I generally play with equality turned on to make getting knights easier, but that's what I do if I'm going for achievements - it has the added bonus of being a minor nerf to most of the other rulers, because if the default ruler is male but has a daughter, the game makes her the ruler instead, but she'll still have the "new ruler" opinion debuff. If the default ruler is a man that DOESN'T have a daughter, everyone will like him less because of his gender. That means the only ones not dealing with debuffs are the female default rulers, but there aren't many of them to begin with...

Dude 100%. I completely had the realization that I even play it more like the sims than others too. I hardly ever show any warfare (I think it’s boring and difficult to edit). I’m all about the character interaction haha. It’s too fun

I got exposed to CK3 last year thanks to my husband and now it’s all I play 💀 I do agree with the “it’s sims for dudes”!

I actually got into it thinking exactly like this 😂 I wanted to get the sims on steam but it’s not available on mac so I thought hey isn’t this basically the same + war + incest? As the dude that made this video I want to let you know that I appreciate you watching, but more importantly, I hope it was apparent that “exploiting” the Barbie movie/trying to get women views wasn’t the true intention of the video - rather it was to have fun and experience a different way of playing that I never try out (sorta a theme with a lot of my vids is playing CK3 in weird and unexpected ways). I hope you enjoyed it, and I’m sorry if all I mentioned was apparent. Oh absolutely! I was just goofing with my comment. I’m a regular ck3 enjoyer (own both ck3 and ck2 and have had to restrict myself from playing it because I will lose so entire days to the thirst for map painting.) so I watch this sort of content all the time tho I must admit the premise definitely caught my eye lol. Plus a lot of content creators in this genre seem content to ignore female viewers or even use their low female viewer statistics to make jokes about how there are no women watching (which is a self fulfilling prophecy bc when ppl say stuff like that it makes it feel like we’re not wanted so we stop watching that channel regardless of interest) So goof or not I do appreciate the effort! I should honestly try a reversed gender roles run since I normally try to form a matriarchy the natural way which is so much harder. I didn’t realize inverted gender roles still allowed achievements
