They can be seen as complementary rather than opposing forces. In this video, I'm going to touch on some of the feminine character traits vs masculine character traits and how embracing your feminine energy actually helps you to attract a masculine man.

I am a very feminine woman, which is why it's frustrating having to deal with men who don't appreciate it. One thing I do particularly well is leaving a guy alone who clearly is not intentional in getting to know me. The gender roles are clearly defined in the scriptures but it seems like a lot of men have subscribed to worldy views on this area. However, the solution is not to become more masculine, it's to continue being feminine. And it is NOT our job to teach men how to be men. He's either masculine or he is not not. As for the career. I went to law school beause I hadn't gotten married. I couldn't just sit idly waiitng around for a guy to come along and provide for me. I knew I had to be able to support myself and practicing law allows me to do that. It also keeps me productive enough so that I have something to do while I wait on my husband. I know when I meet him things are going to have to shift around, and I will gladly welcome that when it comes.

Emily, it sounds like you are doing awesome! You're right that it's not our job to teach men to be masculine (hopefully they can learn that from godly male role models!), but we can continue to focus on our own femininity and allowing them to pursue. Yes, I would never ever recommend sitting idly. The Bible gives us a great example of what we can be doing instead in Proverbs 31. The right man is going to appreciate you for who you are and is going to recognize and love your femininity.

Gal here! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Life experiences definitely have pushed me to be more on the masculine energy than in the feminine and although I've tried really hard, I haven't been able to take more of the masculine energy "off." Any suggestions on how to be more feminine/ in that feminine energy more naturally where it becomes second nature?

Heather! So timely, as usual - thanks for this video! The concept of rest in feminine energy, I find incredibly challenging - I am so afraid of being perceived as lazy. I worry constantly that I'll come across as a burden rather than someone a man will want to care for. Please also pray for me - I have a first date this Saturday!

Additional thoughts: I have struggled with not stepping into the masculine role of pursuing or initiating when it comes to guys I’ve liked in the past. Im learning how to step back and be available instead for a guy to pursue me, because I do want a masculine guy. I feel like society encourages women to be bold and strong so its hard not to take the lead (if that makes sense) 🤷🏻‍♀️

That absolutely makes sense. I agree that society grooms women to feel the need to take on more of a masculine role. I struggled with the same thing for years! And boldness and strength are amazing qualities, but it can be hard to set those qualities aside and just rest in letting a man pursue. I think the key is remaining approachable and reciprocating with little things like a smile and eye contact.

Man here. Your point about the woman not "pursuing" needs clarification. When many young women hear that the man will be "pursuing", they think that it means they don't have to do anything at all--that they just sit back and wait--and take this so far as to not even make eye contact or smile at a man they're interested in. Men of value don't work that way though; we don't want a woman that is unnecessarily difficult, and expect some reciprocity. I'm not saying you have to ask him out, but at least make eye contact and smile. Look at how Ruth initiated contact with Boaz.
