I recently purchased one and I have been pleased. Very good sound for a small amp. Mainly used for practice at home but would work well in a small venue or side bar at a party. Good price point.

Chorus over Reverb seems like a glaring choice, especially considering a vocal could be mixed in. I think Reverb would have been way more practical for most gigging musicians

Not really a gigging musician's amp is it? Otherwise valid point. I too thought Chorus over Reverb an unusual choice, but the Chorus is implemented well and it gives a effect most looking at buying this amp would use and have lots of fun with. Either way, simple enough to just add a pedal for Reverb on the guitar side of things. A professional gigging musician even in small venues would be looking at more pump (& headroom) with a Reverb feature factored into vocals or a portable PA with multiple inputs covering all the bases in any case.

This is a cheap practice amp for people who play at home, or maybe would take it to a classroom, or something. They make a larger, more 'gig-worthy' amp, but it's more expensive. 😢

I'm running my SHURE 520 green bullet blues harp mic thru a peavey 20 to a peavey 30 audition out to the Fender Acoustasonic. I also sing into the green bullet too. Has that old vintage radio sound to it.

I thought it was a smart add-in to mention "also for Ukuleles" as the ukulele market has become a major force in stringed instruments. As a matter of fact, the 4-stringed world of ukuleles is driving a large segment of people playing musical instruments that normally would not have picked up a six-string guitar. THe Acoustasonic amps are becoming very popular in ukulele messgae board discussions and reviews. Both this 15W & 40W, along with the Pro Jr. GO get a lot of chatter these days. I'd like to see the 15W get a portable battey pack like Blackstar does with it's ID series amps, or even Fender's own Pro Jr. GO series.

Probably a really weird couple of questions I’ve always wanted to know about this. Can i play a different guitar while using this fender amp. Like an Ibanez electric acoustic. And the other question is does this amp come with the cord that plugs into your guitar and the amp cause i don’t see one on the website. If someone can answer those questions I’d be very thankful.

No problem. The amp cord is sold separately unless you buy some sort of package deal. Most cords are universal, but tweed-wrapped cords have better aesthetics for acoustic amps. And yes, any acoustic guitar can be played through this amp, provided the guitar has a 1/4" output jack, which is essentially a universally standard size.

I had this question when deciding on going with the Fender Acoustasonic 15 instead of a Marshall G10 Gold or G15 Gold Electic Amplifier. I was told that an E-Amplifier handles sound totally different than one specifically made for acoustics. And that in some cases you would not get sound out of some Amplifiers made for E-Guitars. The output of an Acoustic with a pick up is not the same as the output of an Electric Guitar. At least that is my understanding - and every single guitar shop I went to they all told me this. 100% agreement, don't use an acoustic guitar with pickup on an Amp for an E-Guitar. In essence - you have a car that takes Diesel, you put diesel in. You have a car that takes Gasoline/Petrol, you do not put Diesel into it or you mess things up. So like that difference - you don't hook an acoustic guitar up to an Electric Guitar Amp, and you don't put an Electric Guitar on an Acoustic Amp. The signals and inputs are not compatible.

I received my acoustasonic 15 watt amp yesterday from UPS on I was up all night because he is so fantastic and the features are they have. the speaker itself is a Marvel it's not a cheap set up and has a section speaker on it and inside the speaker they had a little device that makes your sounds eject out. it really brings out the sound in your acoustic guitar steel and nylon strings it's a very docile amplifier you don't have to be a brain surgeon but I can plug it into my modeling amp or I have them different pedals on different amps I can emulate all those items listed love. this is really a nice amp and I wish Fender would pay me royalties on this so let me know what you think about it. It has a good price I paid $87 a month from Sweetwater I do all my shopping at sweetheart water they should pay me royalties to

Too bad that "go-anywhere" doesn't include running it on batteries- Fender had a shot here to make a great, cheap busking amp that would provide more than the Passport Mini does.

The Passport Mini is amazing. I eventually tired of all the settings and options and just use it as a straight-ahead busking amp or for vocals only at a band practice, where it stands up in more powerful company just fine.

I'm not a fan of Fender amps but I like it because I run my Nylon, Steel, and semi-hollow guitars through it! I was really impressed with the way my Nylon sounded through it!

I have a Fender Acoustasonic 15. Fabulous acoustic amp for the home or occasion as described in this video. If you want a dual-purpose amp you'd be better off with a digital modelling amp like a Blackstar's ID:Core V2 in either the 10, 20 or 40W according to your need and budget. Use the clean warm and clean bright voicings for acoustic. They work well. I own one and used it for acoustic too before I bought the Acoustasonic. Boss have a comparable voicing on their Katana, but other than the Katana Mini which is like Blackstar's Fly 3, both mini amps, the smallest unit it's available in is the 50W at a price a little more than Blackstar's ID:Core 40 V2.

can you use this with a nylon-string guitar equipped with a passive pick-up? My guitar does not have a pre-amp on the guitar body, just a piezo-style pickup inside the guitar connected to a 1/4 inch jack on the shell. Thank you.

Hey Cross, you could certainly plug your classical (with its passive pickup) directly into the instrument jack of the amp, and it will probably yield an acceptable sound, but if you ran it into a free-standing pre-amp unit first, that would undoubtedly boost your signal strength and allow you to "clean up" your guitar's sound quite a bit (such as by dialing out the midrange "quack" that folks so often complain about, and possibly help you minimize the risk of feedback). Once you hear how nice it can sound with the pre-amp unit in the signal chain, it may occur to you that the original approach (straight into amp, without pre-amp unit) was "lame" by comparison!

This amp sound like the fender Frontman 10g its very small y would prefer the size of the amp in 8 inch speaker like the line 6 spider 3, in 15 watts, that would added more bass.

This amp is not that great, but again is a cheap amp. I just replaced mine for the newly released Fishman Micro, which is more compact Than this one but it’s a 40w amp and sounds amazing! Also has more effects but it’s also more expensive

Trust me this is a great peiece. if you have a passion for the acoustic guitar like I do this is a bang for the buck. you can remove all cycle home even close to the amp and it works very good in conjunction with your preamp sits on your acoustic guitar I got three acoustic guitars one classical once a hummingbird Pro and then I have a little Martin all of them are acoustic electric except for the Martin and I use a microphone down by the sound hole. This is only my opinion so she go out and buy one and you don't like it and he said it's the worst advice you ever got because I don't want somebody coming after me with her home invasion kit LOL

Yes I plugged my superstrat into the amp and it sounded like a rickenbacker when using distortion. sounds good with a touch of chorus without effects but gets too warbly when you crank it up.
