Great video, I love the fender sound and they all sound great to me, so it was handy to hear them “side by side”. To my ears the Tweed Deluxe was the exact tone I’m after. I thought maybe it was my mind tricking me because it was the first one demoed, but then I went back and yep - that sweet sweet breakup is all I need. Beautiful. Aaah, we’re so lucky with our first work problems.

For me on all of them in this order: Tweed Bassmann, Deluxe Reverb and Twin Reverb.

Yip, agreed. Going in I thought the Twin Reverb would sound better. From hearing them in real life, where the Twin bowls you over. But, recorded, the Deluxe does sound a bit better. I thought the Tweed was a level above all the others. I thought the Blackface Bassman sounded the worse, both clean and driven. And the Champ sounded better than I expected, compared to the Princeton. Though I did like the Princeton dirty tone, the clean was a little anemic and gritty. Would be interested in hearing a Pro Reverb.

Great vid! For me, the Princeton consistently sounds the best, especially for cleans, followed closely by the Tweed Bassman, especially for higher gain.

If I had to pick one for both clean & dirty, my favourite was the Tweed Deluxe, the 6F6A Bassman and the Deluxe Reverb (probably the most generally useful). The Tweed Deluxe & Champ reminded me a Vox AC30s and AC10s respectively, when driven into slight dirt/crunch. And the 5F6A reminded me a lot of my Marshall JTM, so I probably would lean toward Deluxe Reverb for the Fender amp I plan to add to those. The other Bassman didn't call out to me, and neither did the Twin & Princeton. The Twin sounding a little heavy / dull, & Princeton too small / tinny. Whereas the Champ was a nice barky character amp (like a smaller-sounding Vox AC10, or AC4).

Deluxe reverb was best for me. Princeton farted on the low end. This was great comparison.

No surprises here, Tweed Deluxe and Deluxe Reverb sound best for clean and pushed sounds, followed by the Princeton and Champ then the Bassman’s and lastly imo the Twin. This is pretty much how I’d ranked them when I’ve played them over the years, although never all at the same time like that. I’ve always been a Deluxe guy, never heard another amp sound as good. Only slight complaint with this is the full-on drive section. Suddenly, it sounded like you threw a blanket over a cardboard box compared to the rest and I’m like what..!? Ended up just being that classic Les Paul sound though….. ;)

You shouldn't have done bridge then neck pickup before switching amp, now the main difference you hear between the clip is the pickup... And then you don't even have timestamps so we can navigate ourselves. Such a shame since the video idea was so good
