I own one, and I've owned many Teles over the years, this is BY FAR the best sounding and playing of all the Telecasters I've ever owned (period). The body is super resonate, notes and chords sound great and last a long time. I can appreciate what you're saying about the relic, worn business... but it doesn't bother me a bit. I care more about the sound and playability!
So I have this guitar admittedly I hate the looks but I get tons of compliments at gigs. This freaking thing rocks loves pedals and is by far the best tele I have played and I have a few. The next thing it is feather light but against everything I believed it did not negatively effect the tone at all. And I mean at all. As far as gigs I can play all night and get absolutely no fatigue at all unlike my r9 sorry gibson. So good in fact a bought a second to have as a back up. And that brings me to the last thing these things are consistent as hell. I have played several and they are so similar it actually amazing. If your on the fence don't hesitate one amazing instrument.
Love mine! But I don’t play country. It’s pretty much become my Muddy waters / albert colins guitar! It’s a blues machine. A little over priced but loved it from the second I played it .
I really want this guitar. I would swap the pickguard but love the sparkle finish and want a light body. Relic doesn't bother me too much, the forearm part could be better but it could wear better over time with the thin finish. I will keep am eye out for this one used for sure.
Very similar to my thoughts. I like the guitar but have a hard time with relic jobs. I think I could only buy a factory relic in very specific circumstances.
So like all the rest of the omments on here bought mine new for 799.00 love this guitar y tech loves this guitar Sound Playabilty Everything on thjis guitar is soild All Day Everyday BUY ONE NOW
I have both of Brad's signature Tele's; Silver sparkle Tele and Black sparkle Esquire. Normally I'm not into artificial wear and tear but it fits these two guitars and doesn't bother me. Normally when I get a new guitar I inspect it for any signs of blems or issues, so in the case of these two guitars it drove me crazy that inspection was pointless other than to verify existing wear and tear which on these two guitars is not heavy and over done. They may be Mexico factory guitars but they have the custom finish, neck profile, pickups, all decent components and come with a gigbag. Both worth it IMO.
@@glennhayes3 Hmmm, this could really go either way but I'm going to say the black model based on pickup output audibly and what I measured on mine below. Silver Model: Two single-coil pickups. Custom Shop '64 Tele bridge pickup - 5.88k Middle - 3.27k Custom Shop "Twisted" Single-Coil Tele neck - 7.16k Black Model: Two single-coil pickups. Custom Shop '64 Tele bridge pickup - 7.30k Middle - 4.44k Seymour Duncan Brad Paisley Signature Secret Agent neck pickup - 10.81k
Thanks for watching! The neck is not fat, it has the vintage “v” style and is very comfortable. Designed to sit just right in hour hands, I was a fan of this one
I had this guitar for a while - liked it very much. Unfortunately traded it. However to move into "now" . I recently purchased the Brad Paisley Esquire - black sparkle, because I missed the first one a lot. This is another outstanding guitar in every way...Except, I too, think they've gone way overboard on both guitars with the relicing on the upper bout. Didn't care for it on the first - don't care for it on this one. Also - to your point on cost. The Esquire is even more expensive at $1400. It's very well made and even has a very cool roasted maple fingerboard...but I think a bit overpriced. Given that - it is a spectacular instrument and is very well made. Jury out on cost. Thanks for your review.
maybe it's the lightest 'fender tele' but the kiesel Johnny Hiland "tele" is negative pounds. Im glad I waited to get that one. If the Brad wasn't 'road worn' I woulda got one in heartbeat but not a fan of the look of it at all.
Dude you are rt on. I'm 68 and I like the guitar but I think you could get a good Tele for half the price. Thanx for your review I'll pass. Luv ya Brad just not my thing. ❤😊😂
Sounds great. Love the finish, don't mind the road-worn aspect at all. Might've mentioned the top and back are spruce, with pawlonia sandwiched between. No doubt the spruce is mainly responsible for the incredible resonance.
