So useful! I just bought the Medium in Pink (yes I watch reviews after purchase 🤦🏼‍♀️). I'm 95pounds, 5'4 and am always accused of carrying too big a bag for my body, but I am also always the one who has mints, wipes and a charger for everyone else😁 Particularly with the 'unused/unfillable' height native to this design, I feel the medium is far more practical for me; it definitely doesn't look too oversized due to its stylish cut and shorter strap. Now I just need to not murder the pink leather. PS that ostrich is incredible!!!

@Tegan K - congrats on your Medium Pink! I bet it's so beautiful and that you're seriously loving on it! So glad that this size is also looking good proportion-wise and holds your essentials. And you're exactly right - the shorter strap on the medium allows the bag to hit right in the center of your torso so size-wise, it can work. Everyone's different and it all comes down to personal preference. I'm happy that you made the right choice for you! 👍🏽

Honestly your video has been super super helpful for me in picking out a size for mine (I went with the small, btw). The Fendi First to me occupies this new notional territory in handbags that the Bottega Pouch and Loewe Puzzle kind of sits in, where they're really just sculptural, cavernous purses, and given that I already have a Puzzle in the size Medium, I kinda figured that my Fendi First would make more sense in a smaller size. I was considering the Bottega Pouch for a while but without a crossbody strap, it's just not workable for my everyday carry. :(

Will def be buying this bag. Was thinking of Chanel but didn’t like the qc or how ppl said they were being treated. This bag is classy not to showy and has a little Avantgarde vibe about it.

@Maddison Yes, should definitely consider adding this bag to your collection! It's so unique, beautiful, and different. Yes, there has definitely been a lot of talk in the handbag community about Chanel's quality and customer service in the past couple of years, BUT don't write them off completely. There are pieces (handbags and RTW) that are still wonderful quality-wise and there are some really good SAs out there. Do you live near a Chanel boutique where you can establish a relationship?

I love mine. It’s a lovely bag… I’m 5’3 (Sz Sm) and I purchased the small in tan which was much better for my frame.

I love your small brown snake and the caramel, but feel the black would be practical in the medium size. I'd been looking at my first Fendi bag being a Peekaboo, but the Fendi First may have to be the first! Would love to see the other bag you got!

@Mel Yes, that’s why I couldn’t resist getting both sizes. For me, they serve different purposes and the textures add another level of interest. Love these bags! And I still need to unbox and share my Peekaboo. Keep an eye out for that video! That, too, is a lovely bag and think that’s also a great choice for a first Fendi. You can’t go wrong with either this or the Fendi First. 😉

It would have been helpful to have put the small one on crossbody style in order to see where it hits on the body. I'm the same height as you , but have not been able to see how low it hangs crossbody style.

Great review!! I love that you include the measurements in inches, i totally just did that on a piece of paper yesterday 😆 Leaning toward the small but still thoroughly considering the medium! Yes, the Medium is definitely big enough for everyday essentials that you may carry. It’s deceiving as it’s more spacious inside than it looks. 👌🏽

awesome review! I tried the small one on at the Fendi store the other day and could not stop thinking about it! I do love it but the leather looks way tooo delicate for everyday use. how do you feel about the leather after using it a few times? I take good care of my bags but then I feel I'll be very paranoid walking around with this one worrying someone is going to bump into me and scratch it with their watch/ring!!

@Milla Booth - glad you got your hands on one! Isn't it beautiful! Hand on heart, I feel that if you were to get it nappa leather and truly use it as an EVERYday bag, it would probably reveal minor scratches more quickly. They're starting to offer more textures though including suede and denim (the blue denim is sooo pretty!). Maybe you could consider one of those instead?

@Musuma - thanks a bunch for watching! Hmm, given the size of the Small Fendi First after a little over a year of use now, I don't think that the long wallet would fit through the mouth of the bag or at the bottom. The Medium size would be a better option. 😉

@Peaches yes, I think that would look absolutely lovely in a crossbody style. Just know that it will sit higher on your body because the strap is shorter. 😉 It’s all good though! Enjoy your new beautiful treasure!

I've been really thinking about Fendi First and really love this review :) Just curious does a mini water bottle fit in the Medium size? I always worry about being hydrated when being outside

@Ashley Lau - glad my review was helpful and I hope you gleaned some great info about Fendi's newest bag design. They have some beautiful Fendi Firsts available for SS2022! For your question about water...the Medium will comfortably fit a 500ml of Fiji Water, for example - but it can only be laid down at the bottom of the bag. With that said, I'm always leery of laying any bottles of fluid in a handbag (especially leather) in case of possible leakage which may result in irreversible watermarks or staining. I honestly wouldn't risk it with this bag. I'd just carry my water bottle separately. 😉 HTH!

@Nin, my pleasure! Wow, what a great choice for your very first luxury bag - it's classic, chic, but yet quite distinctive! Now for the small size, I don't believe it would fit a small kindle/e-reader. Anything taller or wider than a normal-sized smartphone won't fit in it. If that's something you carry frequently, I'd recommend going for a Medium instead. 😉 Be sure to come back and let me know which one you've chosen - good luck!

@Shani Alexis - absolutely yes - you can wear the Small as a crossbody - the strap is long enough to do so. However, the Medium size strap is too short to do the same. HTH!
