Excellent Mark, as always. I had a "thank goodness" moment when I realised you had made a video on this, as I had failed to figure it out myself. I find these videos so useful, thank you for taking the time and being so faultlessly methodical in how you make your how to videos.
Excellent tutorial Mark, I could have done with this last night lol. You're becoming a flight sim super hero, we expect you to be in lycra head to toe in the next video. With your underpanrts on the outside and the sim hangar logo emblazened across your chest :-) BTW really enjkoyed the river run last week I delayed going away for work to fly with the group. Excellent as always, thanks for organising them they are a real treat.
Hey there, could you come back to this video, I am not sure what has changed, but when I lift my reverse levers on the HC Bravo, the throttles don't move into reverse idle. I need to moves the throttles before in game it moves to idle, it will snap to full reverse when my controls are all the way back, and then gradually move through the reverse zone as long as the levers are lifted.
Thanks for the great tutorial. I couldn’t get the calibration to work correctly on the Bravo until I noticed the throttle slider on my thrustmaster airbus sidestick was conflicting. Once I cleared the assignment it all worked like magic. Your hard work saves the community hours of frustration. I really appreciate all that you do. Thanks!!!
omgggg thankyoooou I was going absolutely crazy trying to get it to work. I always forget that the throttle on the airbus stick exists. I have literally no use for it
Hi Mark, I followed your instructions and most are working ok. But for some reason when I power up the Fenix I get no leds and I'm not able to move my landing gear selector. Not sure where I've gone wrong.
Hay SimHanger , do you know if you can run two monitors at the same when playing MS Flight Sim 2020. So one screen is showing the out side view and another showing the control panel area. Just wondered, cheers..
How is it flying the A320 with this throttle seeing there are no detents? Also have you tried the Honeycomb's Airbus throttle pack - I wonder how that's supposed to be different from the default (Boeing) ones that are in this video? Thank you
Hi Mark , in the process of finalizing a deal on the Pimax crystal as I have no clue do I need this lighthouse faceplate peace for only using with flight simulator or not . Thanks a lot
Mark--fantastic job for this ex-commercial pilot (not Jets) it took me a while as there wer lots of conflicts on the Bravo and some non-functioning throttle reverse sticks but now all functioning, enjoyed working through. I wonder if it might be easier starting from a blank new setup in the Bravo rather than say the 737 Max which I used.
Way old post I realize, but it seems sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm sure this could be the result of all of the updates since the original video. Lifting the reverser levers and pulling back the throttle handles works about 50% of the time, sometimes there is a 10-15 second delay or it fails altogether but lifting the reverser levers and pushing forward works 100% of the time, though totally unrealistic. Anyone aware of a fix?
Hi Mark - Happy Sunday my friend. Would love to see you do a video on how to manipulate the push/pull switches in the Fenix using G2 controllers and/or the mouse in VR. I can't figure it out for the life of me ..lol.. many thanks
On my config, work 90% ok, but the falps on fenix won't work, need some config on the flight sim like you did on 737... could you make a video config the flaps for fenix? i duplicate the profile from the 737 and at flaps page on flightsim i have only FLAPS AXIS REVER AXIS and DECREASE FLAPS
I have a problem with the reversers sometimes they work and sometimes I need to pull the reverser levers like normal but in order to get max reverses I need to go to toga. How do I fix this?????
Great video and explanation. I'm facing a weird issue. I set up exactly as you did but when I move the throttle levers forward on by bravo the reverse throttle gets engaged in the game. If anyone can help, thanks in advance.
Amazing video. Without you it would be impossible to figure out. I have only one thing not working properly. The reverses sometimes works sometimes doesn`t. I followed all the steps. However, upon pulling the reverse lever up and moving the throttles to Detent, the levers go up but the throttles don`t come to Detent Position. Sometimes it does, sometimes doesn`t. Do you know what can I do? Thank you so much Mark. You are amazing. Your way to explain is clear and accurate.
Thanks so much. I would have never come up with these settings. How did you figure it out? For me that is totaly against all logik. great work you do here. MAny thanks and may god bless you!
Hi Mark, very informative tutorial. You helped me a lot. now the Fenix is working with my honeyway throttle. But there is another problem. I tried to configure my throttle in connection with the FBW a320neo aircraft. The procedure of configuration is different in comparison to the Fenix aircraft. it's not working. Maybe you have an idea? cheers Bernd
Hello Mark, fantastic video tutorial thanks for this help to all us. Finally you had the opportunity to found some solution for the configuration of the switches for the PMDG 737 family using this Honeycomb Bravo Throttle? Could be fantatstic to have other tutorial like this for the switches configuration. In advance thanks buddy. Happy mery christmas Best rigards, Oswaldo from Houston!
Im am having a nightmare setting up Fenix with the bravo (or any other throttle controller for that matter. ). I’ve watched tons of yt videos and blogs and yet cant seem to fix my issues. Im am well aware of not having the throttle 0-100% setting but the Throttle 1 axis set up and then having to calibrate them in the fmc. Also, made sure no other throttle assignments have been made to those axis’. Ive managed to set up my PMDG without any issues. Frankly i feel its a shitty job on Fenix’ end. I wish they would get their shit together and fix whatever the hell is going on with their throttle set up.
Pls help Mark, I've followed this perfectly, watched it 10 times, spent all day on it but I cant get it to work, my set up is exactly the same as yours, throttles wont go past idle, when I increase goes into reverse, the control options page shows I need reverse axis ticked to make the white slider increase, but even when I select reverse axis it still wont go past idle? MCDU set up also shows it going into full reverse thrust when I select climb or TOGA thrust
Hello, I really find your tutorials and reviews very helpful and easy to understand. I am having problems with the operation of the trim wheel in the Fenix, whereas the FBW has not problem with the same button settings. I have the Fenix configured as described in your tutorial using the Airbus levers. Button 23/22 are assigned and are not assigned to anything else. The trim wheel does not react to the input from the quadrant nor does it allow movement in sim with the mouse. I have been working with Fenix on this and as yet no solution. I have a demo of my issue and if you have time I can send you the video link. Note I had not removed the increase decrease assignment to the increase/decrease lever at the time of the video and a recalibration within the MCDU now has the throttle moving on the axis with the main throttle. Any suggestions would be most helpful for this senior. 🙂
The trim wheel in the aircraft will not react if the autopilot is activated. Make sure pilot assist functions are not active. The bravo trim wheel is not the best, you need to rotate it slowly. I don’t have your issue so if the afore going doesn’t do it, you must have something conflicting with the trim actions.
Hey thank you for the video, but I am having a problem when my throttles are at idle they are giving a reading of 63% usage for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nice tutorial, but when i configure the flaps lever, it does not react in the sim. i made the flaps axis and in the fmc but it does not do anything in the virtual cockpit.
so frusterating, every time i try to configure the "decrease throttle" the program stops responding. the weird thing is it doesnt even say not responging in my task manager, just stops responding to any input and i have to hard exit the game. i am very frustrated at this po[int
have followed the video and everything works apart from the reverses going into the reverse idle detente, the reverses do work but go straight into full reverse, what am i doing wrong?
Hello, since the latest update my reverse thrust doesn't work anymore and I have the honeycomb bravo throttle can you tell me how to get it right again
i know im late but do you have any idea why my revers bind is just really inconsistent? like sometimes it works sometimes it only goes in reverse idle and not to full reverse
hi mark.please put me out of my misery .no matter how hard i try i cannot get the autopilot to connect. ive done everything by following your video regards throttle binding and fmcu but i cannot connect .what am i missing .please help i gave £50 FOR THIS PLANE
Thanks for the wonderful video. I followed step-by-step but the only issue that I have the thrust reverse. I have to go forward to activate it instead of going back any help with that?
Since the update there is a problem. I am trying to find a solution. If you lift the reverse levers up and then immediately into the detent it works, if you pause after lifting the reverser then it will not work correctly….😢
Thank you a lot now the reverser is working 😁 question tough: after I set the reverser and put the levers back to idle, it will settle at around 40% of thrust instead of setting back to idle. Do you have this issue as well?
@@SimHangerFS I recalibrated in the MCDU again and everything works perfectly fine until the moment I set the reverser. The reverses works also fine but as soon as I put the levers back to idle, in the fenix it set the levers at around 30-40% thrust instead of the so calibratetd idle position. It's not that cool taxing to the gate with 40% thrust xD Do you have an idea what could cause this issue?
@@SimHangerFS all checked and fine so far. The bravo works with all other aircrafts (reverses setting with the fbw a320) etc. It seems that I need to check with the fenix support as all other are working perfectly🤷
when i engange reverse thrust on my bravo (airbus edition) i need to push the throttles forward (up) to increase reverse thrust. In you video you just push them down - like in the real world. Is this not possible anymore? has something changed in the sim? Thank you in advance
I can't configure the spoilers correctly. I thought the mapping would be the same as for the FBW A320, however the lever just flutters when moved. The video doesn't show how the spoilers have been mapped.
Could you also make a video about how to set up the Bravo for the LVFR airbus? I am having difficulty with it being at idle when all the way down. It seems to want to go into reverse.
Great video, In my case after I finish calibration, I go to options menu, and when I go back to the sim the throttle levers dont work. They go all the way to TOGA position.
Thank you for this Sir. That reverser and the flaps were doing my head in.I have the older version. All working now. It's a pain in the A.. though to have to go trough all this.LOL.
I’ve learnt so much from this channel. Big thank you, Mark. Some coffee coming up😀 One problem with the Fenix and the Bravo for me, the autopilot panel not working. Works ok in the Boeings. In the 320NEO it works if I PULL the switches with the mouse. However this not works in the Fenix.
Only through this video is that I could make my Bravo Throttles work with this amazing plane, thanks to you. I use FSUIPC and it is not doing the trick. I'm also having all kind of problems with the Bravo Autopilot, I don't know if you are going through the same, but hey, one day at a time. Thanks again for all your help.
Mark, thank you so much for your outstanding tutorials. You have been a lifesaver so many times. I do have an issue that no one seems to be able to help me with. My trim wheel will never move especially when I am flying the PMDG 737. I am so frustrated because I have tried everything I know.
Note it will not move if on autopilot, the aircraft manages the trim. For help this may be of real use to you ….ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sx6KJ0dEtus.html
@@SimHangerFS Thank you so much for the reply. I know when the AP is on its controlled. But this is at all times. The trim wheel will not move at all. In any plane. I have even done everything in that video that you linked.
Hi Mark, I have the Velocity one flight yoke & quadrant, have you set up the the Fenix A320 with the VF1 as I've been struggling with it especially the reverse thrust settings. Any help would be much appreciated
Hi, I just got the bravo quadrant and saw your video! I am generally pleased with it but when I pull the throttles back to just the detent before the reverser position, my engines spool up and the small reverser indicators rise at anything below the idle position. It seems as though I am unable to calibrate the throttles for the flybywire a320. Neither the mcdu, nor the flypad offer any calibration of these throttles. Any ideas, please? Also, the flap lever doesn't want to play at being a flap lever, although I do have the flap paddle set to lower and raise the flaps by multiple presses. Is this interfering with the operation of the flap handle? Many thanks!
I had tried for a couple hours trying to set thd fenix throttles using the bravo standard setup with no luck. I came across your video and after following your guide I was done 40 minutes later. Awesome!!!! Thank you so much.
Hi nice tutorial! but my problem is on throttle 1 the small reverse lever does not react during calibration process (Nr. 10). only nummber 11 is shown when calibrating throttle 2. Do you have an idea about it? Thank you in advance. with regards
what am I doing wrong, I set it up as shown here und calibrated it in the mcdu. I won´t get full reverse unless I push the throttle forward. When I activate the reverse and pull it back, nothing is moving.
@@SimHangerFS thank you for your fast reply. Its working now I did it as you showed. The only difference I noticed is, that when I open the reverse and I have idle reverse and do not immediately activate full reverse, full reverse not working. I can only have idle or full reverse.
Hi Mark - thanks for the tutorial. Some of my levers don't have the same number as yours - "hold Throttle reverse thrust" portion of your video as an example - your levers are numbers 10 and 11, mine show as numbers 30 and 48. I'm on a new pc and wondering if this could pose an issue. Also on Windows 11 - could that be the issue?
Yours show as 30 and 48 as you are using the airbus throttle levers and not the default commercial handles. There is a separate section in the video that shows exactly what changes to make for the airbus handles. These two handle sets have different button assignments
Hi Mark, thanks for your excellent videos. Have you noticed the Lights on Bravo are not working with Fenix A320? Mine are not working but work just fine when I switch to other planes including FBW. I checked with Honeycomb but cannot see any upgrades.
Same here, switches not working. The issue here is on the bravo click up and down are two different buttons, making toggle functions not work. Fenix have also used some non-standard LVARS for some functions.
