While we were at the American Hat Company for the factory tour we were introduced to the owner of Fenoglio Boots, this turned into an impromptu tour. It was late in the day, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to check it out. Fenoglio had been a brand I was very interested in checking out, and after seeing the process, the hundreds of years worth of experience in the factory, and the beautiful boots, I wasn't disappointed. I am currently working on getting a pair of boots for review, subscribe and click notifications for the upcoming video. Also keep an eye on the podcast this month... there may be some more from Fenoglio coming. Fenoglio has deep history in the little Texas town of Nocona, and you should check out their website for more details, its a cool story. I love American made boots, and Texas made boots in particular, I am very excited to find these guys.

Very interesting and informative factory tour. Great to see that they are using leather counters in their boots. I totally agree with you on that number 1 toe shape. Thanks for sharing this!!!

I had the chance to meet the owners of fenolgio while in Ft Worth at their fenoglio store( by Best Hats). Genuine people that care about the product they make and their community. Great people that make a great boot.

Thanks for watching! I have a Fenoglio review coming tomorrow about 2pm CST, it’s already available to my FB group. I always get excited for American made products, and when I get to see them made it’s that much better.

I thought chisos was my go to brand but now dang! Fenoglio is looking solid!!!!!

Fenoglio makes a great boot and it’s the most comfortable brand I have tried as far as fit and anti fatigue. I have not tried Chisos, and only because there are so many other options that are made in America. I don’t hate foreign made items, just prefer my boots and hats made here.

Great video. I enjoyed the tour around all the stations in the factory. There really is something magical about hand-made boots. I had no idea so much work and precise work was involved. I wonder how they come up with the designs on the boots. That electric blue elephant boot was my favorite and the part where Trey put the stain on the red boot and it changed the color. Oddly satisfying 🤩

i just got my first two pairs of Fenoglio boots and they are pretty interesting designs and the ranchand soles are a new experience, jury is still out. they should step up their social media game and have more content like the above. its one of the best ways to get more people to develop an affinity for your boot when content helps tell the story and give a glimpse into the craftsmanship. its also hard to find retailers, especially those with ample stock. that seems crucial to connect collectors to bountiful options.

I have to say I will be getting a pair or two more myself, I’m really enjoying the comfort. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I will pass it along, we have Fenoglio scheduled for our upcoming podcast.

If you are still looking for rattlesnake Cowtown boots usually has some in stock! Got a pair at my local store in Vegas, but I believe they are out in Arizona and Texas as well. If you come to Vegas for the NFR I'm sure you'll also find some then!

I wear Justin, Nocona, Dan Post, Olathe, & Tecovas cowboy boots. Interesting to hear the past history. Did Fenoglio take over the defunct Nocona factory and staff? What is the true history lineage?

So do they use a steel shank? Cork in the middle? I didn't hear that for the shank and mid sole? And the toe counter is it all leather like the heel?
@CowboyCartel
@CowboyCartel Год назад
I don’t know if we talked about the shank, its a question we would have to ask. It kind of looks like a wooden shank to me in the video. The they are using neoprene instead of cork, we talk about it at the 19 ish to 20 minute mark. You can also kind of see the shank around that area. I would have to ask on the toe puff too, I will have to check the video and see if i can tell. I would say it is probably veg tan, but I could be wrong. Thanks for watching.

So if I wear 8.5ee in Anderson bean would I still be in the same size?? Thanks again
@CowboyCartel
@CowboyCartel Год назад
I think it depends on how you like them to fit, and the toe shape. I wear a 9.5 ee in AB square toe, and a 10.5d in the Fenoglio narrow square. I probably need a 10d in AB for length. My foot measures a true 10.5d so I think they are true to size. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and the comment.
@totalglitch
@totalglitch Год назад
@@CowboyCartel well the issue is I am new to boots and have tried AB on and know what size I am in those. I found a pair of elephant fenoglio but found a 9.5d in fenoglio and are trying those but feel like I need a wide. My right foot is wide and my left is D. So my left always feels loose and the right is snug. Such a pain.
@CowboyCartel
@CowboyCartel Год назад
@@totalglitch Boot buying is kind of like that, you really need to be able to try them on and live in them for a while. My right foot is a 10.5d and left is 10d, I always fit to the larger foot and deal with it. Lucchese and some others will do custom sizing for each foot if you want to spend that kind of money. If you are a 9.5EE in one foot I would fit to that. Fenoglio will be true to size though in my experience.
