@@MrHanswurst47 I appreciate that. I've gotten pretty tired of people calling me dumb or a clown for asking them to educate me when i've found myself in the wrong. Keep commenting with the goal of educating, not "destroying" someone in a kindergarten roast over something stupid :)
And THAT is why I have a 7th Gen Celica. People underestimate them until they get their Ass whooped by them. I cannot wait to fully upgrade my Celica. It will be a monster.
Dude, this has the power plant and drive train from the previous gen celica gt4 and awd corolla apparently. Would hardly compare this to a bog standard 7th gen.
The 7th gen has the very lightweight chassis and 2zz with the 6-speed. Yes you can turn it into a competitive track car, but it’s limited due to fwd. Low 13s or even high 12s quarter mile times if setup properly. Around 4.2 seconds 0-60mph with a supercharger and proper tune, which I’ll be happy with. That’s a lot for a fwd manual car. Nissan happens to boast about a 4.2 second 0-60mph in their upcoming Z. So yeah you won’t be top dog on a racetrack, but you’ll be quicker than most cars on the street.
@@celile8279 I know my post is old, but I'm actually getting an MR2 and putting a 2gr swap in it. I think that's the better upgrade than a Celica, not saying that the Celica isn't fast but a V6 and an MR2 is the better option. so that's what I'm going for right now actually. On top of that I'm currently driving a 90's Subaru Impreza that I'm building as well so both my cars are going to be pretty up to spec when I'm done with them.
Brilliant car Fensport have created... but i preffer my 2zz-ge engine to the gt4... rotrex supercharged and forged engine with low compression running 400bhp. would be a good race with the Fencelica. Do have love for Fensport tho as i buy alot of parts from them for me Corolla
@gaspower70 good luck on your project if your doing it more power to you if not just find a good garage. Im doing same thing. I've swapped out my vvti engine installed a GTFOUR engine and building it with forged pistons and a complete rebuild. Im leaving it at 400bhp for now.
The one big reason why I want to build my celica, all others are stance ride shits but the gt4! Is the only thing that's keeping me to held on my celica
@ajsalive Fensport really know how to build cars. Will definitely check them out. How much do you reckon it would cost to convert a 7th gen Celica to AWD and have around about 400hp?
Probably less than it would take to get a real GT4 and start building it. It's very difficult and costly doing that, often it's better to just get a 4WD car in the first place if your main goal is the drivetrain. But if you specifically want that model to perform like you'd like it to, set aside many thousands.
@gaspower70 spoke to fensport as Im having a full engine build and Im sorry to say it costs £145,000 to create that car which is what they spent on the engine and 4WD system sorry
Has the drivetrain and engine from the previous (gen6) - Celica GT-Four ST205 to be exact. 3SGTE fully built with a TTE crankshaft, can see all about the car on the Fensport website.
Look it up. It involves a lot of fabrication to fit the new drive train. They basically striped it down to a body shell, modified it, and put it back together.
AWD, turbo.. Powered by a 3S-GTE using the similar components of the old school Celica GT4's. Very rare race cars, probably less than 500-1000 cars made total.
Hi everybody I'm doing the same conversion on my Corolla T Sport same power have a look on my channel I put 3SGTE engine in about 6 years ago still driving the car I'm doing 4x4 now nearly done so if anybody needs help let us know will do it for you in UK
I need to write music for these beautiful babies. I own a Yellow Cel and White Highlander. Nothing but a Toyota to spank these American manufacture`s into submission to make better car`s.
The biggest nail in celicas coffin was not including a gt4 high performance model for this new generation. taking away the motorsport roots and neutering the experience for a more broad appeal for the mr2 and celica was really dumb. people went to you for your wierdness toyota. idk why the earlier 2000's was full of successors to amazing cars that had less hp and handled like boats. rx8, celica, mr2, mx5, del sol... all a bunch of disappointments. did they forget we liked cars that go fast and handle good?
