Fee Williams yea its a bronzer but on some really deeply melinated skin tones, I’m afraid that this might not even show up in their skin.

I'm pretty similar to nyma's tone and I swatched it and it shows up pretty well, it could be a teensy bit darker, but for me if I was just using it to add warmth it would definitely work! They really should add at least 1 darker shade though

@@deedso951 Duckie Thot is a Fenty Beauty model and I believe her and Nyma are the same shade. I am surprised though that they haven't released a video of someone with a deep shade using the bronzer as yet. They said that they would but considering it launched already, they're taking kinda long.

I ain't mad at 8 shades of Bronzers. Its just to add warmth & de-ash our dusty faces from all that cool contour & translucent or banana powder. Fenty gonna give you a base, get feedback, and expand accordingly*.

It’s only sticky if applied with the hands and lathered on. A little goes a LONG way. This ain’t a lotion folks need to control their ash 😩

Kayla Overstreet the sales person at Sephora even told me to use setting spray mind you I got it as a sample cause I needed some kind of body glitter.

I usually apply it with my fingers, very sparingly. I haven't had any issues with it being sticky. I think it's in the amount that people use. I also got a sample of who needs clothes from Sephora last year before ordering Brown Sugar from Fenty. That was the best way to test whether I would like the way it feels on my skin.

I’m a little bothered by the comments indicating the distinction between a contour powder and bronzer, alluding to deeper shades being unnecessary. While yes, a bronzer’s purpose is to warm up the face, it cannot warm up the face of someone of a darker complexion if it doesn’t show up or compliment one’s undertones. To say that one cannot be disappointed with this launch because Fenty is doing what other brands wouldn’t is absurd. Fenty Beauty created a standard within the industry, therefore they should uphold it. People are most definitely allowed to be disappointed, the launch didn’t carry. There should have been more deeper shades, period.

I get what you are saying but disappointment doesnt mean attacking a brand that is clearly trying for fall just a bit short. Could they have gone deeper? Yes. but at the same time did they go the extra mile to try to include everyone? Which is an impossible goal. This bronzer goes pretty dark, their model is a shade 498 that's remarkably deep for a first launch. I have seen this group of people that are now perched for every fenty drop waiting for it to not go deep enough.

To an extent I think some ppl really are just letting it be known the difference between the two because bronzer has been a topic lately and ppl don’t know the difference. However, some ppl really refuse for any criticism to be made about the brand so they’re talking over people.

Did you watch the Fenty Beauty bronzer tutorial on their channel? Hector used model Nyakim. She is the prototype for ProFiltr #498, their darkest foundation. The same foundation Nyma feels is too dark for her. Hector, an actual makeup professional, describes what bronzers are, what they do, and shows how to use them. Nyakim's finished look reveals a sunkissed, bronzed beauty that plays up the reddish/bronze effect the sun has on her skin tone. I, myself, have never spent a day in the sun and came back in with contoured depth and definition like Nyma is expecting a product that mimics your skin's exposure to the sun to do. I was just bronzed allover.

I appreciate this launch because (1) They came out with EIGHT bronzers vs the typical one or two, and (2) I think they were consistent and had two bronzers for each of their categories (two 100s, two 200s, and so on). They said they will demonstrate the darkest bronzer on a model with shade 495, so hopefully they will come through with that and show us if it works on the darkest shade their foundation comes in.

I'm not mad at the shade range because this is the most inclusive bronzer release I've seen. Most brands come out with one or two shades and their darkest shade can barely bronze someone with tan skin. As with everything I'm sure they'll do an extension because there is a jump between the two last shades and they can definitely go deeper than the last shade. I'm curious how the last one would show up on a deeper skin tone than yours though. Would it show up as a bronzer or a blush or not at all? The "geishachic" blush is beautiful so I hope they rename and release by the summer.

Yes. Many people assume bronzer is suppose to be dark, but it's actually suppose to warm the skin. If it's any darker them it would just be a contour shade.

The sunkissed bronzer from Fenty is so gorgeous on you. I hate that people confuse bronzing with contouring. It's not suppose to sculpt your face, its suppose to warm up your face and it ABSOLUTE warmed up your face. Gosh Riri is remarkable honestly truly 😍😍😍

@@pinkc6343 No. It's not. When I come out of the sun I have a reddish tint to my skin. Bronzers are supposed to mimic the effect of the sun's exposure on your skin. People just don't get dark in the sun, their undertones are brought out and they turn golden, bronze, and reddish. Your skin takes on a WARMER color with a golden, bronze, or reddish effect. You need to watch Fenty Beauty's bronzer tutorials. Nyakim is darker than Nyma.

a bronzer dont have to be tooooo dark, is to add warmth not to contour. the model wearing the last shade in the campaign is 495 and it's beautiful, not darker than her complexion but clearly warmed

@@Shea354 Nyakim, the model Hector used to demonstrate the darkest bronzer in a bronzer tutorial, is the prototype for ProFiltr #498. That's FB's darkest foundation. It complemented her skin VERY well and gave it the sunkissed, bronzed warmth bronzers are made to give. If Hector wanted something "dark" to create the definition and depth Nyma talked about wanting, he would've used any of FB's darker matchsticks or contours to achieve that. It's weird how a lot of people who complain about Fenty Beauty seem to not even visit their channel, watch their videos, know their models, read their product descriptions, or show any real support or interest other than complaining about it. Weird.

Phly Gerl 🙄 crazy how my initial comment wasn’t even really complaining, and I said that I liked their launch for this, but I can still want something darker. Especially since that darkest shade won’t do anything for me come summertime. I’m actually subbed to Fenty Beauty and I’ve seen that tutorial. So...I said what I said. I didn’t realize saying that I want something while still praising the launch is only complaining. Weird.

Fenty Beauty did. Nyma just didn't like what an actual bronzer was supposed to do on your skin and wanted the effect of a contour instead. Fenty Beauty uploaded a tutorial with Hector and Nyakim using the same bronzer. It works. And Nyakim is darker than Nyma.

I’m going to go get Mocha mami tozay!! But check this out, for those not trying to spend 30$ on this product Julia’s Place “ Masquerade mini“ eye shadow palette ($25) has 2 colours labeled “ Burkina“ and “ Fulani“ and when used together it is the perfect perfect “bronzing/contouring “ for my skin! I tend to swirl my brush twice in “Burkina” and once in “Fulani” because “Fulani” is that brown/red shade that tends to wild out😂. So I use “Burkina” to neutralize her 😌.I am “Sandalwood” in Estée Lauder 6w1.

I tried to explain it the best I could lol contour I typically cool toned so after you contour your bronze your face in the same area to bring warmth back to your face so your not so washed out.

Bronzer mimics the sun's effect on your skin. It's not intended to "darken you up". It adds a sunkissed golden, bronzed, and/or reddish glow to your skin. It's not blush. It's not contour. Or a too light foundation fix. Hector does some great bronzer tutorials on models from both the lightest and darkest shades on the Fenty Beauty channel. Another was added today. Check out Fenty Beauty's videos to know the product and how to use it.

I ordered the mini sets with Caramel Cutie and one of the match stix highlighters at like 3 in the morning. It's supposed to be a cooler shade which is awesome cause warm shades make me look like I just got slapped. But now that you said they all look warm, I'm kinda worried

Nothing tops my cover girl queen ebony bronzer it’s my favorite of all time I’m 440 in fenty foundation and I was gonna pick up the bronzer but I’m like if it ain’t broke don’t fix it but I did pick up some pressed powders by black radiance they have new shades and they go really dark but they aren’t labeled as bronzers or contours so idk if anyone would want to look into that

i love the color of Mocha Mami 💟, ordered mines this morning. some of the comments i see on Fenty IG are very disheartening, because i think ppl are getting contour and bronzer hella confused.🤦🏽‍♀️ i can deflee see darker skin tones wearing this ✨

Suzie Q the bronzer is very disheartening for me. Even as a bronzer it’s not deep enough for someone who is a 485-490 shade. I really had high hopes for the bronzer but I’ll just keep using my Prime Beauty in Chocolate Litty

@@4evaefay absolutely.. overall its a nice launch to have 8 shades, for years i was unable to buy bronzers from these other companies. Fenty is for the people, they hear us out and I have faith they will expand the shade range 💟

Bronzevillle is the colour I’m looking for but international shipping is stupid expensive 😫 Mocha Mami looks too red eventhough it’s meant to add warmth. I might go in stores and check it out.

It’s a beautful bronzer .looks great on you.. its a shame about the covergirl ebony bronzer just out and discontinue something that’s selling so good it baffles me not everyone can afford those high end bronzers it’s a sacrifice to buy a bronzer it’s crazy smfh I got some good of the good ones as well Bobby Brown, and tarte Amazonian thank GOD. For my Macy’s card but it was hard to purchase them u have to measure your desire and well being between skin care or bronzer before a purchase smh sucks.

Definitely think she could extend the shade range but it is a better range than the normal 2 other brands put out then extend it 5 years later ( yes I’m talking to you benefit ) pretty sure in the next couple of months she’ll add more shades . And for body lava I’ve heard it’s only sticky when you put way too much on trying to look cast member ready to play the tin man from the wizard of oz . And I would buy body but I’m buying the patricka mist because I hate touching basically any liquids with my hands . Foundation, oil , even lotion. I rather be ashy than put lotion on 😂
