I got trust issues, so I think Vi and Dr. Shah is the only one who I can trust. I need some real reviews and you two are very honest when it comes to reviews.
It is difficult to not be bias when you like the CEO. So a video like this helps tremendously to see past the marketing and glam, and consider all aspects, good and not so good. Many thanks for posting this. it was very helpful. :-)
For the first one minute I didn’t concentrate on what u were saying ‘coz i was busy admiring ur beautiful skin and eyebrows... and then the intro popped up like BAM! 😂
Love that every review ive watched or the comments speak on the fragrance. She just dropped fragrance-free. I’ve used fenty skin since it came out. I don’t think I’ll ever switch although Pharrell, Alicia and Jeffree’s skin care lines have me curious 🧐
I know you did this first when they came out with the skin care products but can you do another video now that they have expanded their line with more products and including fragrance free products! I would love to see that!
I am a dark skin black women with sensitive skin and these products work well for me. They feel good and I have good results. I think products go by YOUR skin type and what YOU prefer.
Please make a video on dark underarms. 1. Why people get dark underarms. 2. Which hair removal method should be followed for preventing dark underarms. 3. Treatments and product recommendations for dark underarms.
Here from Susan Yaras page! Thank you for your review, I’ve already seen so many for this line, but none from a professional. When it comes to product reviews that are specifically made for woman or anyone who wears makeup, maybe your wife would be open to trying things out for you? I’m excited to see your RU-vid page blow up. 👏
Hi Liz - That's a great idea! We were just talking about this with Dr. Ashley Rice, who is a female that we work with! My wife is camera-shy but I'll try to see if she's open to talk about some of these things too!
Can you please tell me if this is a good night time routine: I wash my face with benzoyl peroxide 5%. Then I apply the hyaluronic acid and nicinamide Ordinary serum. Then I apply tretenoin 0.05%. And then I apply the azelaic acid ordinary 10%. I usually apply one after the other, as soon as it feels like it sinked into my face. I don't really wait 20 mins after applying the tretenoin. Is this bad? Can I use the azelaic acid as a moisturizer?
I love the Fenty moisturiser packaging, I wish the moisturiser didn’t have a scent otherwise I’d buy it. I’d love to put my regular moisturiser in the Fenty moisturiser bottle I like it that much
The fragrance is a big deal breaker for me so it's a no from me as I don't like fragrance on my face, I only use it on my body, but she did release the clay mask which is fragrance free and has salicylic acid in it, which seems like a really good product. I also liked the plush pudding lip balm and the body butter
Thank you for your honest review. I LOVE Rihanna but had a bad experience with Fenty make up. I believe the high level of silicones so far up on the ingredients list irritated my acne-prone skin.
I’ve been using this skincare line since it dropped, and it’s been the only thing that’s really worked for me. I get cystic acne HORRIBLY, and it’s like clockwork. Not saying this was a cure all as diet and hormones play a part in it, but since using this (I’m mixed; white, black, and Filipino) my skin has been EXTREMELY TAME. I think it’s subjective, but for me it works.
You really don't have to pause or sugarcoat anything. Just tell the truth comfortably :) We're not here to impress celebrities despite our health. A person making a skincare line is the one who should've known better.
Your introduction music is SO much louder than the audio with you speaking... that shocked me in an unpleasant way. 😵💫 Still, ty for the video content! I appreciate the review. 🎉
Hi, I suffered from scabies recently! Now after treatment it’s all gone but I have dry skin, rashes, scars, pimples on all over my body including groins! What would u suggest me to bring my skin back to healthy ? Also I wanted to start a skin care routine, I have dry skin with very low acnes !
Give your skin time to heal - it often gets better on it's own with time and moisturizer. Make sure to discuss with your doctor if things do not improve soon. As far as skincare routine for dry skin, gentle cleansers will be important for you like the ceraVe hydrating cleanser (or similar).
hi i’m a huge fan! i follow you on tiktok & insta as well! Can you please review the brand good molecules & let us know how it compares to paula’s choice and the ordinary??
What do you think about the retinoid by cereve to help with cystic acne scaring? I know from watching your lives that you like that brand. I’ve had cystic acne for years on years was on accutaine for 9 months. The scaring is pretty deep in some spots. They recommend I do another round of acutaine but that got pushed back for a while due to the virus. Please your input would be greatly appreciated.
Topical retinoids like ceraVe retinol can help minimally with cystic acne scarring. But truthfully, the best treatment for acne scars is going to require a trip to your dermatologist. These treatments include laser resurfacing, microneedling, and chemical peels.
Were these products personally tested by you? If so, how long did you test them for? This is a good review but would like to know more than just about the ingredients.
I just found your channel and have been loving the videos...very informative! Thank you! As a woman of colour living in the Caribbean, a sunscreen that does not leave a white cast is suuuper important to me however I’m recently learning about Oxybenzone which I’m realizing is in ALL my SPF products🤦🏽♀️. Can you recommend an oxybenzone free SPF?
what drugstore moisturizers do you recommend? i currently use this fenty skin moisturizer & love it! but not opposed to finding a cheaper option that will give me the same benefits if not more thanks for this video :)
I came form tiktok and I literally followed you on all your social media platforms 😁, can i ask what retinol can i use for my dry skin and what can i use to get rid of small bumps on my skin, my skin is really dry by the way so I'm really scared to use anything 😔
I don’t know, Fenty skin is not for me. primarily because of the fragrance that everyone keeps shedding importance on. I like the consistency of the toner but witch hazel breaks me out and i have oily skin. The niacinamide in it sold me on it and I’m just not sure about it as yet 🤔 i wish there was HA in the toner. Sunscreen seems promising
Love your contents doc. So I have the ordinary’s azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, natural moisturizing factors + HA, cerave vitamin C serum and differin. How would you suggest I use them and when? Thank you 🙏
Cystic acne is best treated with oral medications that require prescription. I would discuss with your doctor because cystic acne can lead to permanent scarring!
Thank you for the honest review! I've been obsessing over skin care lately and you came on my for you feed on tiktok and well here we are now following you on insta and subscribed to your channel! LOL Thanks!
Hello Dr.Shah I hope you are health and safe. could you please help me with the following question (not about fenty products): What can be used for black skin to lighten the area above the vaginal area and underarms when it’s too dark? Thank you and please take care 🤗
Thank you so much for doing these videos. It is really educational and plus fun to watch!!! thank you, thank you, thank you for your professional opinion
You are so much more relaxed when you do You Tube Alone. When Dr. Maxfield comes on with you. You both are so silly and less serious. But I like watching your posts here and on tik tok. Keep up the great job. You and Dr. Maxfield Rock!
Thank you!! We will continue to put out more videos - we are just getting used to RU-vid, so our goal is to continuously improve the quality and content in our videos! Thank you so much for your support : )
Hey Dr. I love all your videos on Tik Tok. I have a question, I’m currently using these products (Fenty skin), can I use the Paula’s Choice peeling after using the Fat Water??
I'm not a dermatologist, but I really love this system. (55 yr old women) i find it very soothing, although i do prefer the newer toner. I love trying different products, but I consistently return to these. Just my experience, of course.
Coming from your live on tiktok : is it normal for the Paul’s choice 2% BHA to be causing more blackheads that seem to be spreading? I have dry to combination skin, thank youuu I’m a huge fan!
Thanks for joining me over here!!!! It should not cause more blackheads - I would stick with it for about 2 months before making a decision about it. It is common to undergo "purging" where your acne may be worse initially but then long term, your skin should be much better!
Came from tik tok Just subscribed !! 💖 -Is it safe to use adapalene/tretinoin under my eyes (by my lower lash line ) where I have milia? -Is there anyway to still fade old stretch marks turned white/silver that I got while in my teens. I’m in 20s ? - Can I use the ordinary azelaic acid after I apply vitamin C in the morning? 💖Thanks!!!!
Hi Summer! Thanks for subbing! -It is safe for some people to use it under the eye. I personally have very sensitive skin and cannot use adapalene or tretinoin underneath the eye area. It depends on your level of sensitivity -Stretch marks are seen in 90% of people and it is best to embrace them ( I have them too ). Retinoids like adapalene and tretinoin can help a little. If they really bother you, you can see a dermatologist for something like microneedling or laser. -I wouldn't use the vitamin C with azelaic acid just because vitamin C is a finicky medication. Try to use them at opposite times of the day. Or hold off on the vitamin C while using the azelaic acid
