Fighting bulls are not only expected to fight, they're expected to be bled out and tortured by a matador and then finally finished off by a sword to the heart. The reality of bull fighting is truly horrifying and disgusting if plays straight.

Jptheman I went to D23 back in July and they showed a sneak peek of Ralph Breaks the Internet. The scene shows Ralph and Valnipe (sorry for the spelling) traveling to the internet meeting new characters and trying to fix sugar rush. Also the Disney princesses will be appearing including Anna and Elsa. Even Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel will appear. I’m hoping Fox could also appear too.

Luvsonic1000 there's some good ones that are cross overs between the MLP and Sonic Universe. Most are kind of like what the heck did I just read?!? But there are some good ones. I'm currently working on one just because the good ones are few and far between though mine is kept at a PG rating or K+ because it's more focused on story than THAT sort of thing. Has a Shadow the Hedgehog/Chaos Control multiverse concept that uses the good parts from '06 (the time travel part) and it's still in a rough draft phase. Wrote in a couple of G rated cutesy moments currently with Fluttershy and the Chao garden but I haven't uploaded it on to fanfiction.net yet...

I’m excited for 2018! We got Nick Park’s Early Man, Isle of Dogs by Wes Anderson, Pixar’s Incredibles 2, another Lakia movie, Teen Titans Go to the Movies, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Spider-Man. I might missed a few but 2018 is really exciting for animated movies. Also there is no Madagascar 4 in the schedule, in fact there’s no DreamWorks or Blue Sky movies in 2018.

@Jonathanest90s
@Jonathanest90s 6 лет назад
TheMightyPancake actually the plot is about the Teen Titans trying to make a movie. The reason why is because the other superheroes got their own movies. So the Teen Titans is looking for people to work with them. The idea is amazing, I’m hoping it’s executed well. Who knows, it could update the animation to make it look movie worthy or make this a satire to the current trend of superhero movies like the DCEU. We’ll have to wait and see.

I was waiting on your view of Leap since I saw it last year with my friend in cinema and came out absolutely loving it, I adore the film but couldn't place what it was about the film I liked. And honestly I agree with most of the points you made about the film, I really do, but I finally figured out why I like it so much. When someone is passionate enough about something and they start talking about it I always find it amazing to listen to even if I previously had no inclination towards the topic or had no knowledge of it. When someone gets excited about something I get excited about it too! And I realised that with films like Leap thats exactly what it felt like. It was someone getting really excited about dance and it got me excited too. I felt exactly the same with the animes Haikyuu, Free, Yuri on Ice, Hibike Euphonium etc, every single one of them got me excited about whatever the characters were excited about, be that swimming or playing in a concert band. And I know I dont enjoy playing in a concert band I used to do it, same with ballet. But watching these made me want to! And that's why I like it so much. I 100% get why Leap is where it is on your list, but even with all the tropes the fact I was still on the edge of my seat wanting her to succeed and coming out of the cinema wanting to dance made me love this film xD Anyway, Merry Christmas!! And I cant wait to see Coco when it finally comes out in England!!!!!!!!!

I must say that I absolutely ADORED Ferdinand. I thought the story was gripping, many of the jokes were hilarious and it had one of the best messages I have seen in awhile. I liked that it did not sugar coat the horrific nature of such a disgusting, barbaric sport that takes giddy glee in watching something die an agonizing death. While you did not see that in the movie itself, which...who would want to? It let you know exactly what it was about. I loved the juxtoposition of Ferdinand's morals versus the very idea of what he was 'supposed' to be. This movie to me can be summed up with Peace vs Popular morals. This world pushes that you must FIGHT to be on top, you have to FIGHT and kill the bad guy that destroyed your parents, you have to FIGHT the other country to be on top. when....If we were all like Ferdinand the world would be such a better place. He was willing to die to stay a peaceful person, to not become all that killed his father. He was willing to stand there and let death take him rather than to hurt anyone else. To me.....that is the greatest sign of a hero.

1.) Gruff, injured mentor. Just... Give us a mentor who has been trained to actually teach. Like, and actual teacher. One who's kind and fair but not afraid to be a little rough. Constant negativity (as so many gruff mentors seem to be) is psychologically taxing on young kids, and when they're like "OMG SO PROUD" that 180° can be even more confusing to kids. 2.) Forgets friends once they get a taste for fame. Granted, _some_ people are like that, but I feel most people aren't. Personally, if I had "made it big" I'd want my best friends right there with me to celebrate my success, and you can be damn well sure I'll be there when they've achieved theirs. 3.) OKAY so as far as I know, ballet is kinda a team thing. Of course, most people love to strive to be the main character, but you need _everyone_ to work together to make a big show work. I saw _Swan Lake,_ and while the actors and actresses who portrayed the main characters got more stage time, the background characters provided much needed depth and activity to make sure to keep everyone captivated on the whole stage. 4.) Not a point you made Chad, but I wanna add something here. Not everyone who wants to do something will end up being "good enough" for said thing, no matter how long they dream and hope and practice. I want to see one of these movies that pulls the rug out and shows us, "Hey, they tried their damnedest, but in the end, they just weren't good _enough_. And that's okay. There are other ways to be involved in an activity you like without actually being a part of it. Like ballet. Sometimes, you just can't keep your ballance. But that doesn't mean you couldn't help teach them. Or you could design costumes or help out backstage! Not everyone can follow their dreams, but it's still a good thing to try, because you might find you have different talents that can be put to use elsewhere, and that's great too.

Dude I dunno what you didn’t see in Captain Underpants, but I went to watch it after seeing your review (for a date with my husband) and we were crackin up the whole time! Even bought the DVD when we first saw it pop up, which never happens. It’s probably a humor difference, but even for story and characters it was good.

I would be very interested in hearing you compare and contrast "Ballerina" and "Leap," since I've heard they're actually rather different, with "Leap" being made more pop-culture-y for American audiences.

What you said at the beginning about you're grandma telling you you read Ferdinand as a kid but you not remembering is interesting. I went to see the movie with my mom and she said she read the book to me as a child, yet I don't remember it myself.

Woo! I was hoping you would go and do this again next year! I remember last year you were pretty unsure and looking at next year seemed like you could get a similar feeling, but we need to have you review that upcoming Teen Titans Go movie that allegedly is coming next summer! lol (But honestly, can't wait for Incredibles, you might like Island of Dogs... I'm not anticipating it, but I remember you liked Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Wreck it Ralph 2... it's exciting!)

I can't believe that 2016 was jam packed with amazing movies...two new Disneys, Kubo, and even Trolls and Angry Birds which were a little trite plot-wise but extremely colourful and enjoyable, came right before this year where literally nothing was of note. And the worst animated movie of 2016 came out January 12 so it was almost forgotten by the holiday season whereas the worst animated movie of 2017 came out July 28, smack in the middle of the year. Weird how deep the contrast was.

Make video on which movies you are looking forward to for 2018. Or make a mock list at the beginning of the year with some predictions on which you think will be good and see how close you got to it by the end of the next year.

I was debating on whether or not Ferdinand was worth watching because the hedgehogs seemed like they were the typical comic relief that would ruin the movie. However, I actually am considering watching it after seeing your review! As for Leap!, I’ve been interested in seeing it for a while now, I’m not the kind of person who normally watches Dance movies (because the most I can think of are all Disney Channel cliques), but since it’s animated, it will probably hold my attention better (I prefer animated movies usually). I just so happen to be a type of dancer too, so I wanted to see if the way certain things played out actually seemed like it could happen. It might not, but I’m still curious either way

Great video!! This has been a weird year for animation. Coco is so far out in the lead for me it's almost worth putting it on its own list. xD

I agree with your statements on Ferdinand. I heard some guys at my high school talking about The Ferdinand movie, and they said it sucked because it was animated and that was there whole argument about why they don’t like it, and they haven’t even seen it! And animated movies Cavan be just as good as regular ones, except the emoji movie, the emoji movie should be burnt in a pit :) .

Thank you for being honest about body humor (aka poop, fart, and burp jokes) and how kids really react. There are only two jokes about those subjects I remember laughing at as a kid. One was Pumbaa, when you had to put together he "got down-hearted every time that he (farted)" and the "brimstone" joke in Shrek. Maybe it had to do with putting it together in my head and then getting the joke? Otherwise, it was all just gross then and eye rollingly gross now... Though I still hold that "Nacho Libre" has the best fart joke ever. Didn't see that as a kid, not a fan of fart jokes, but it gets me EVERY time.

The book is a classic! The story places the message that you don't have to use violence, but use pacifism in tough situations. The art by Robert Lawson is the most gorgeous and memorable part about the the book, plus it puts Spain's culture alive when reading. Although, the movies additional pop culture and characters an comedy humor, in the film and supposed "development" purposes for Ferd, it never made me laugh but cringe, but I still enjoyed it a bit throughout the film. Yet the movie only got 10 parts right added from the book, with the additional add-ons and removal/additional characters compared to in the film, is wrong, yet it still holds the books story theme. The mother figure in the book is a concerning mother who wants to help Ferd participate in activities with the other young bulls and make friends so he wouldn't be an outcast, but the figure is replaced by a father figure who still supports his son neither way and a goat only helps him to be transformed into a brave and strong indestructible bull from his pacifist counter part. While the human family nurtures/cares Ferd in showing/sharing more kindness into his character while not learning about self defense like the kids in his childhood from the beginning part of the movie. Ferdinand in the book wants to be pacifist and chose that way instead of accepting to fight against the matador to show bravery, the flowers and gifts are what he likes that makes him that kind hearted character to look up to. In the movie- its a 👎 eeeeeh for me. But an okay for family i guess.... (( except for the comedy that needs to be removed and the additional characters too that are rather forgetful for the sake of development and plot point for the movies story.)) If the book needs to be adapted into a film, I'd recommend that it needs to have 2d art style same from the book but in 3d platform animation while still telling its narration. Btw One part they left out in the movie- *WHERES THE CORK TREE??*

Hey man, good video. After 2016, I wasn't expecting much from 2017 and... yeah... there it is. I think the only great animated movie this year was Coco. The Lego Batman Movie is second, but it didn't even crack my top 20 films of the year. So pretty underwhelming for animation this year. With the exception of Incredibles 2 and Wreck it Ralph 2, I'm not looking forward to 2018 at all. With that being said, I think the more dramatic aspects of Ferdinand enhanced my experience and made the film more enjoyable for me, because I wasn't actually sure if I'd enjoy this movie or not. I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't great, but it was still good.

Lewtoons I want to become an animator and I promise once I start making shows I will make them all be unique.. a Scientist who discovers immortality and helps an orphan , a foolhardy wizard and his adventures .. our dreams forming into characters. We need more storytellers and less greedy developers who just want to make money

Too bad Gigantic didn’t get made, it would have been original form a major studio for next year. But I rather have them cancel something that not being confident with it. I liked the original idea of Jack being in a love triangle since it would be new for Disney (and the only love triangles are Hunchback and Frozen which aren’t typical) even love triangles are common otherwise. The later project sounded a lot like Wreck it Ralp. Ideally they could work it behind the scenes for a couple years and release it anyway.
