Love your channel mate. What I do with mine is undo the collar slightly. Just enough so there is a slight gap between the lid and the collar. Then hit it was a small amount of gas until the pressure breaks the seal and it pops up. Just be careful but it works a treat for me. Cheers from Australia 🍻
Delighted you love my channel great to hear it . That’s a fantastic idea I am actually going to close transfer into a keg later this week and will definitely give it a go . Cheers mate 🍻happy brewing
Hi Graham, Something you may want to try next time round. On my last dry hopped pressure fermented brew, rather than opening and putting in the hops, I closed transferred to a keg, then cleaned out my fermenter (basically just poured out and rinsed) and put in the hops. Then purged with co2 and transferred back from the keg. After a couple of days I cold crashed and then closed transferred back to the keg. It worked great and that way there was no oxidation so you get full advantage of the pressure fermentation.
When removing the lid, I find it easier to leave the collar on a bit, and use a spoon to pry under the gas post until the gasket pops loose. Hope that helps!
