Fernando Alonso Díaz began his career in the motor world at a very young age watching his childhood idol Ayrton Senna. It was then that his father gave him a kart that he himself had built for his daughter at first, although she did not like it. He was interested in the vehicle because it was Rotax and that is why it ended up in Fernando's hands when he was only 3 years old. That year he won his first race and began training after school classes with his father, who served as manager and mechanic. A year later it obtained the official license from the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation.
