Yair Avidor plays pieces no. 5, 6, and 14 from Opus 60 by Fernando Sor.
Played on a guitar of the Lacote school from c.1840, strung with gut trebles.
I play with no nails, as Sor himself advocated, and with right-hand fingering close to his.
My aim in this short series of videos dedicated to Op.60 ('Introduction to the Study of the Guitar') published in Paris in 1836-37, was to play them as 'real' pieces of music, rather than just as studies for the beginner.
