We don't call him a flop, although he kind of was one. We love and respect our players because once a blue you will always be remembered as a blue. Torres was not the best player wearing the blue shirt, be he surely scored one of the most important goals of his career when he was a blue.

still suppirses me to this day how torres didnt win the balondor while at liverpool, played in the hardest league in the world, was the best striker in the prem at the time, yet messi and ronaldo will always claim the fame

Ronaldo scored 42 goals and won the champions league with Man U in 2007/08 and Messi scored 38 and won the champions league with Barca in 2008/09, and that's when Torres was at his best Sneijder should've won it in 2010 tho

Simeone was threatened by Torres"s popularity therefore he kept him on the bench. He wanted to be the main man. The most popular. I suspect Kenny Dalglish and Jose Mourinho also found Torres's global superstardom difficult to swallow at times. I dont blame them. They are only human. But I blame Simeone tjhe most.
