From one bus driver to another, congratulations on passing Mr Joe! Hope you have many years of fun, driving your bus!

Belated congratulations on passing the PSV. I took mine many, many…….many years ago and… failed it legendarily. I wasn’t a driver but I worked in the office of a travel company, where the owner required ALL his staff to be able to drive the busses and coaches, so that in an emergency (or strike I suppose) they could fill in. I wasn’t a natural behind the wheel of that big beast (though the experience was fun) but they crammed me through an express course of “x” number of lessons, which lasted whole afternoons and at a certain point they just said, you’re taking the test now. If you don’t pass, you don’t pass, don’t worry. Fact is the standard of my ordinary road driving (ie just driving forward in normal street conditions) was probably good enough to scrape through. But I had big problems for some reason with the old backing out of one cone box and into another. At some point though I managed to get it down by rote. Turn the wheel “x” number of times. After “x” number of seconds turn it again, count “x” number of seconds.. we were in the box. I think the instructor was more exited than I was that he’d finally managed to teach me a way to do it. Come the test, it turned out the cone boxes were the first thing. The instructor had arranged to sit in the coach at the back, to watch the test and I could see him staring as I looked in the mirror. So I took a deep breath and started. Things didn’t feel right straight away. I felt like I should be seeing cones appear at the front, but there were none. I counted the seconds, I turned the wheel, but still no cones. Then suddenly one appeared.. then another …. But they seemed to me to be much flatter than they’d been when I first saw them. 😂 Obviously I failed automatically within the first three minutes, but despite this I still had to do the rest of the test. Over an hour if I remember all those years back. Obviously looking back, I’m really glad I failed. I mean can you imagine if I’d passed? Probably not having to drive again for goodness knows how long, if ever and most probably forgetting anything I’d learned? I’d have been lucky not to have mounted a pavement and maimed somebody my first time out on my own! The examiner didn’t think it was remotely funny and I had to have a long interview afterward, talking candidly about whether I’d thought I was ready. I think he was putting in an official complaint. All these years later though, I remember it as though it was yesterday. Badger Out.

Hmm, this one is going to be interesting. This is the type of bus used on my local intercity service. I mean, I live in rural Norway so, that is practicaly the only bus service except from the school buses...

Agree completely. Bus simulator's and Train Simulator's need their own custom engine, not this Unreal Engine. The physics aren't right and can't be simulated due to the limitations of the engine. Even the finer detail is lost due to the motion blur and depth of field effects merging into a mesh like texture which isn't what you need when replicating real life transport models. Even replicating cities is an issue due to the extreme pop-in of assets. So the whole experience of a simulator is lost. Unreal Engine 5 which everyone observing open world and adventure game says is the best may have problems with a realistic simultor. I have never seen UE5 handle a simulator, so time will tell if it works.

I love a good DD and this is a good DD....almost feels the same as the first DD though, but good video non the less.

I don't really know much about this game, i use to play ETS on Steam and since getting Xbox i have always wanted a Driving Sim, i think FernBus Sim is the closest on console at the moment.

Is the map on this game big? Can you do long journeys that take a few hours?

Thought it was my pc when i got floating wheels on motorway , tml need to sort this it is spoiling the experience. constant vehicle spawning and vanishing

The comfort class buses on Fernbus and Tourist Bus Sim are Mercedes Tourismos. Not Setras.

Does mouse steering works like in ets/ats? don't bother with your answer, when I saw that grass and cars poping in front of you that's a big NO NO game is a crap Ill stay with ats /ets
