That’s a nice way to treat your horse. The horse was just trying their best and you were shouting, screaming, whipping aimlessly and didn’t even praise for the good behaviour your horse displayed.
Mustang Sally...At the finish, the horses are walked off to cool down, then they are offered a drink with electrolites and have a wash down before drying off and having a fleece put on.
the amount of times that the horse was whipped was horrendous, I don't mind the speed, but the refusals at the end, he should have gone further away and thanked his horse for coping with it and his reckless riding
tillsgarton4810 I race, and this rider rode his horse just right, and he did right to use his whip going into the jumps, and the refusing near the end, he should have gone to the whip and used it more and harder.
@@poppyd2380 it is, but treating your horse like this while going this fast is horrible. Honestly it is a fine speed if strides are correct, but the video doesn’t display that.
Disgusting. I understand that you need to go fast, but this idiot was smacking his horse almost at every jump, yelling at it and no praise at the end. Also yelling at his other teammates. And don’t tell me that the whip is padded and doesn’t hurt, I use one myself as they do hurt less than other whips, however using anything the way he is, is going to hurt.
I think you tried hard with your team. I understand how some people do get very competitive while doing a good sport. I agree with a lot of what people are saying like about to praise your horse at the end because horses really try hard for us and we should praise them for their hard work. In the end your run was spoiled by some loose horses and you can’t help that so thank you for putting your content and mabey you can be even better next time you race!
@@noemiknapic7119 I can't stand people just riding the horse like a object - like, money is all, the win is all, the horse is just the help.. i can't.. thats why i stopped working, at racehorse farms, they are insanely bad treated... Ofc can you get mad, and help your horse over jumps, and give a little wip, but not this...
@@belindastergaard5012 You have never done Team Chasing have you? This is the top class...OPEN. The horse are super fit and only go out once a week through the winter months. They are privately owned and are loved. They get everything that is needed for them. Oh, BTW - the winning prize money is very little compared to other riding/showing/driving/ eventing/racing/XC events. So please go away and get a life...
@@noemiknapic7119 There are four in each team. They only work through the winter months, once a week, not always that, it depends on the "going". They know what is expected of them, that is what they are trained to do.
That's a beast of a horse mate. Sorry it didn't work out for you. I really wish we had team chases in the States because this shit looks like a bloody blast!
Way too competitive not a single pat or a “good boy” I think this rider may be a jockey as he has bridged his reins and at the start he was making noises like the jockeys do also his position when he jumps like he Leans forward and then straight back and he had racing reins and a racing saddle
This makes my blood boil... 1. These people need to learn how to find their distances before they start to jump at this height. 2. Stop running so damn fast.. fast isn’t necessarily a good thing (consistency matters) and going this fast at this height cab go terribly wrong, and you and your horse can get killed 3. Stop going to the whip as a punishment ( whip should be used as an encouragement, not a weapon - so start using your god damn leg 4. Be freaking nice to your partners 5. This man needs to learn how to ride ( I don’t have a problem with the female, besides that she goes way to fast) 6. When a horse refuses and you go back to the jump, don’t start cantering 5 feet away, a horse doesn’t have enough impulsion to gain the speed to jump this height 7. Don’t get mad and take your anger out on the horse 8. This isn’t a bad horse, this horse is teaching you things and is getting pissed off at your riding (he’s refusing bc he’s done with your shit)
if your horse can jump from any stride it doesnt matter what distance u have, u have to go fast in these its team chasing. a horse can jump that height from 5 feet away if its scopey, apart from that i agree
@@cfc1667 well, that's a huge ass jump, so in this case, no it really isn't easy for the horse to canter the jump 5 feet away after the refusal. as a rider myself i know from experience that trying to jump a big jump like that from close up isn't going to work out too well. plus the horse was most likely scared. and yes, going fast is something you need to do in team chases, but it isn't always a good thing. it's dangerous and with other team chases you dont really see the rider galloping to the jump. they gallop in between jumps to make up time. it's like hurdles in track and field. i know im late with this comment but i just had to put this out there!
@@georgialmao2263 well no duh but it's not all about speed, obviously, i do team chases, it's never about speed over the jump, it's about speed in between the jumps.
the amount of times he whipped his horse made me sick. absolutely disgusting behaviour as the horse was going so dam fast, that stopping him would be impossible. the way he was rushing into all of the fences and those tight turns surely isn't good for the horses legs. horses aren't machines, there living, breathing animals who yet feel pain and to think that there machines whipping the hell out of them? absolutely disgusting 😤. couldn't be anymore disgusted.
Could not agree more-ive watched teamchases with the woman riding, and he is way happier, ears much more pricked, this horse doesnt need whipping. It does deserve tonnes of praise tho. youre a very bad horeman
Guys you can clearly see that he’s holding the horse so it must be strong and those padded whips so not hurt so don’t come with me with that bull shit also can you see it has its ears forward so..
@@amywright8184 I’d like to see evidence luv x it is something that is told to everyone, but it isn’t true. “If the horses ears are forward, they are attentive.” Which doesn’t mean they are happy. “If the ears are tipped forward and stiff and the nostrils flare, it means the horse is scared.” Another quote from just ten minutes of research, “we humans like to simplify things, and it’s very tempting to assume that for example ears pinned backward ALWAYS means ‘anger’ and forward ears ALWAYS mean ‘a happy horse’, it’s very tempting to label it in black/white, good/bad, right/wrong. But forward ears can be misinterpreted as ‘happy’ when a horse is actually ‘worried’, or ‘curious’ about something that is in front of him. And backward ears can be misinterpreted as ‘unhappy’ or even ‘angry’ when a horse actually is ‘concentrating’, or hearing something behind him, or in a ‘chasing’ state.” So don’t you dare tell me it is scientifically proven, when it isn’t.
@@amywright8184 oh and I realised in the first comment I say “has its ears forward doesn’t mean it is happy.” Whoops, I was supposed to say “has its ears forward doesn’t ALWAYS mean it is happy. Sorry about that.
Armes pferd, mal das Pferd loben für das es extrem gut war. Es hat mehr gegeben als möglich war. Traurig dies zu sehen. Du sollst eher mal sehen was du für ein top Pferd hast
Taking those jumps on an angle that was getting tighter and tighter as the run progressed. Just overcooked the angle on the last and i doubt if the horse knew if he was supposed to jump it or running alongside.
I think the horse was looking at that loose horse running past the fence and didn’t even see the fence as a jump. Also, the angle the rider came at the fence was just too steep.
Disgusting to watch, also just flat out galloped to the fence, whipping at every fence, almost had a massive accident at one, horse was good to refuse, shouldve refused way before
