Uploaded here just for the Varneyphiles out there.
In this episode, we are introduced to the ever fashionable Virgil Simms, a man who jumps over obstacles while in a Winnebago. He has a German shepherd named Winky the Wonder Dog who was nearly killed by a six pack of Pep-si.

Wild Irish Nose. Hey, that was my favorite rotgut wine in high school. The “doctor” who discussed various ethnic traits and stereotypes mentioned Poles, Jews, Italians, Irish and Hispanics but not blacks. Barth wasn’t about to wade into that territory.

Every time "Jerry" interjected himself into the interview ... I immediately laughed. Regardless of where the "joke" went. Willard was one of those guys. When they cut to him, you knew something great was about to ensue.

@@stevedrake604 Agreed! Whenever he got ready to 'weigh in', it was always priceless. And Bart's expression after he did was priceless too. And "Happy" Kyne was never happy. Loved that too.

I didn't realize, at the time it was on, that Martin was gay. He was great w/the sarcasm, & Fred, really had the deadpan delivery down. Too bad we're so easily offended, & "woke" now, this show would never be allowed in 2024.

I saw Martin Milner in concert in 1974. He was the opening act for Robert Klein. His cynicism was exactly like the show as was the stage setup. He was a talented musician. When I saw fernwood tonight in college a couple years later, I always tuned in. My dorm friends thought I was nuts. They did not see the humor.

Ho Chi Minh's mass-murder in the 1950s in North Vietnam was against landlords. Even Ken Butms showed this of Ho. ( Norman Lear who made this show was wrongly against the USA in Vietnam! And showe it in his some of TVshows like this one with the rebel character of Susan Cloud!)
