there are a few small things, such as the guy on the left lifting his rear foot forward to kick over a blade that wouldn’t have otherwise come near the foot, that stood out to me, but nothing coming near when Darth Maul just watch his enemy zoop over him, pause, and then slice. Great work all around.

I like it how most people think Darth maul is the only character to ever have a dual sided light saber. Both sith and jedi in the past have had lightsabers just like that
I was fight my siblings and I did that move because I had a duel blade then I watched this like a few more weeks after then I was like hey I did that move lol
The dual bladed is using the forbidden form (For those who didn't knew: Exist a style of lightsaber fight whom use the idea of turn on and off the saber, the Jedi council thought it would be to lethal and banned, while the Dark Side thought is a coward style, since he use the deception and surprise attacks, so they didn't liked too much)
Mildly incorrect here. See, that's not exactly the case. The problem both the Jedi and sith had was using it as a tactic in blade locks (turn it off, go past the blade, turn it back on, slice em). In particular they were mostly concerned with a type of lightsaber designed to flicker unpredictably. When the red guy turned off his blade(s) it was to avoid injuring himself on the other end of the blade, not to cheaply overcome a blade lock, which was the specific thing that they found issue with, and we've seen this be done by both Jedi and Sith (See in particular the Jedi Temple Guards in the Clone Wars who do exactly this with their Lightpikes). TL;DR - You're right that the forbidden style was turning off an on the blades but wrong about how and when.
I remember watching this as a kid and I’m amazed how well rehearsed and how clean the choreography is after all these years , definitely a timeless gem we have here
$0 buge- do you know how much combat grade sabers cost? Especially with that duel bladed one they at least had somewhere between $1,000-2,000 spent to be able to make this
in the unedited video, lets assume that they are just using the lightsaber Hilts, no rod attached to clash against. It would "feel" realistic, because protons particles are massless, so basically, if lightsabers existed, its would feel like your just carrying the hilt of the lightsaber, when you turn it on/saber comes out, its would weigh the same regardless
..who would see a deadly lightsaber battle in real life and want to _join in?_ EDIT: If you’re not force sensitive and have zero Jedi training, you know a _normal_ person in _real life._ Not someone who has the writers, directors, special effects and stunt doubles making you look good.
GoddyofWar We actually have had numerous encounters with Police officers when filming lightsaber fights. They are usually really cool and ask a lot of questions. They'll watch for a bit, make sure things are copeisedic, and be on their way.
You think this is dangerous, when I was in school me and my friend and his little brother were having an airsoft fight and a cop stepped out of his cruiser with his hand on his gun. I threw my airsoft gun in a bush before he got out though lol, he still saw it and asked to see it.
GoddyofWar Yep, I remember me and my friends lightsaber dueling at a construction sight and the cop came in with his gun drawn right in front of us and acted like the lightsabers were a very dangerous weapon. Mind you these are the toys r us ones.

I loved that he switched from defense to totally overpowering offense, because that’s what a double sided saber does best. Deactivation and reactivation of the two sides is so potent man

Honestly I'd rather watch a video or a small buget movie any day over this new aged garbage. This video is pure and full of life... It has more emotion (Yet not a word is spoken) and action than 90% of movies in the last years.
It's because surprisingly a lot of "fans" of star wars don't like lightsabers, sith, jedi, none of that shit, and complain massively about them all the time. So Disney is trying to throw more people llike Han Solo in the movies because that's what people claim they like more. Is boring assholes with blasters. XD
Scars of Ares Unpopular Opinion but that’s why I honestly just don’t like 4,5,6. The complete lack of lightsaber choreography and the focus away from the Jedi and Sith story in favor of a rebellion story. I want them to make an Old Republic saga so fucking bad with all the OG Sith Lords and Jedi. They would automatically be my favorites no matter what...
Dark side is more deadly powers and quicker gain. Light side is slower to learn with incapacitory powers, a sufficiently powerful jedi is on par with a sith as the powers even out with enough practice. Abeloth is that powerful because she was a weak or non force user she submerged herself in the pond of knowledge (or something) and became that, if Grandmaster luke did the same he could instantly kill her.
My favorite thing is how both coordinated like they trained in their respected style but also felt very improvised like they didn’t know what to expect in the fight and had to adapt to the fight.

years later and this should still be what fighting a sith should be like. There's only ever two, and so they should always be able to oppress and fight multiple jedi. A threat that looms over all.
He'd had them on the run, literally. The red blade had been mere inches away from tasting Jedi blood, but the lucky bastard just got out of the way in time. Now the Sith Lord knows he's about to fight an uphill battle. Both sides catch their breath, ignite sabers. And the war begins anew. Its a hard fight. His enemy have all the advantages. Numbers, differing styles of combat, two angles of attack and a renewed ferocity stoked by near death. He does have one thing up his sleeve though. All he has to do is keep the Jedi at bay for long enough, then they'd tire. And make a fatal mistake. He fights clear of the nest of sabers. They decide to take a new approach: Throw their weapons with the Force as their guide, forcing him to quickly block them then immediately reengage. They also start taking the assault in turns, trading a few blows then changing the fighter and angle of attack. And it is working. The Sith Lord is giving ground. Then, the worst happens. He'd given the ground simply to get them to go back to the previous strategy, which he could defend against, and exploit. A Jedi light saber fell to the floor, in two pieces. Enraged, its former wielder grapples with the Sith, trying to force control of his weapon, while the younger man batters away. Its getting desperate. The Sith only just blocks a cut to the legs. He has to do something, and soon. Then finally, salvation comes in the form of a quick thrust by the armed Jedi. The opening he'd been looking for. With a quick kick to the sword arm, the young Jedi's saber slices through his ally. A grin appears on the dark fighters face. The battle is all but over. Time to finish it. He turns away from the devastated man, as if he wasn't worth the effort. Trying to stoke his hate. And it works. The Jedi charges in baying for blood. But the Sith is older, and by far more experienced in combat. And he's on the warpath. He smashes into the hapless Jedi, battering down his defences by sheer force of will. The young man is exhausted, but determined to go on. Using one last wild, desperate burst of energy, he gets behind the foe and puts all his weight into an aimed thrust, trying to take the Sith's head. But instead of being dead, the Dark Lord is little more than amused. And with all the grace of a Swan he parts head from shoulders with an insane ferocity. Does he enjoy killing? Not always. But this.... This brought a smile to his face.

Rebels had some small gems amidst of the "garbage" which some, including I do enjoy and tbf those gems are just spare parts from the castle of diamond that is Clone Wars Rouge One is fine by me Solo,...ehhh..... Madalorian is also good the Disney Trillogy...yeah trash
Dead Signal Basically everything in Disney Star Wars except the sequels and Resistance is some level of good. People just think everything is wrong with DSW because when they think Star Wars, they think the movies, when in fact that’s the ONLY things wrong.
+EnderHeart5911 I've heard that has a real good production value and effects etc so might just check it out, was scared to because I didn't want to see maul get butchered by a fan project but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
+EnderHeart5911 just saw it and I actually really enjoyed it! choreography effects dialogue and the acting were all good!! and a sneaky cameo by sub zero😂 I was scared going into but they did a real good job! i knew she didn't have a chance one on one at the end!
I can see in the far future when people would just take duelling lightsabers to work (ones that would simply go through your body and do no harm) and have impromptu duels in the streets
Chrome King that’s why I said most not all, obi wan vs maul is my favorite lightsaber fight in almost all the Star Wars films that and both Luke vs Vader fights were good to, but other than that idk the other duels just didn’t do it for me
That funny moment when a battle made by three nerds is better choreographed with better swordsmanship techniques than that of a multi-billion dollar corporation
As a nerd who's watched both Star Wars AND The Princess Bride, and and is currently playing a game involving swords, and and and owns a book detailing lightsaber styles, I'm practically a Jedi Knight at this point.
@@juggalox1000 nah not really, if you havent you ever filmed and commentated hundreds of hours tv shows and movies and hours of gameplay on a strict time budget, you shouldnt call them lazy. Majority of their videos are 20+ minutes because most of the video is a discussion about the content they just watched. They dont just film themselves watching something and say 'k thanks subscribe and like bye" like most do. Theyre just friends having a discussion about nerd stuff and had the brains to film it and put it on youtube.
