@@mays316 Yes but its the 5 valve head that makes it sound more exotic. The F430 that followed the 355 and 360 switched to 4 valves per head and sounded abit less sweet as a result albeit still fantastic 😊
@@tomwebb7091 I doubt that the difference in sound was due to the number of valves. Engine displacement, exhaust/intake system - yes, but you won't hear if the engine has 4 or 5 valves, in my opinion.
@@jareknowak8712 I disagree with that. I can definitely tell the difference between the F360 and the F430 onwards. The 5 valve heads give a smoother sound.
First time I got to see the Ferrari Challenge cars was in 2006 at Infineon Raceway (aka Sonoma Raceway). The 430 Challenge cars were out, but some of the teams were still running the 360.
Jarek Nowak I think the name was changed as Infineon might not have been able to continue paying for their name to be associated with the track. I’ll always call it Infineon because that’s how I remember it.
I was lucky enough to be taken for a ride in a Michelotti 360GT on a small track here in the US. The sound still haunts my dreams. Love your videos, Bozzy. You keep me sane through the motorsports off-season!
Michelotti 360GT or Michelotto 360GT? Apparently there's two different Ferraris where only the names of the builders have a single different letter. The Michelotti is from 1967 and the Michelotto is from 2004. I'm a bit confused but I think I got it right. You probably drove the newer one :D Edit: forget it. The car from 1967 is a 330GT and not 360. I guess I'm just stupid.
Awesome car, but boy does it seem very understeery lol. maybe its just cold tires. I really like this vid format, back and forth with the track side and onboard shots!
That front lip doesn't really look well paired with the big rear wing, from an aero balance standpoint. It looks cool as heck, but on track that'll pin the rear down without similar grip to the front, spells lots of high speed understeer, which a circuit like Paul Ricard will bring out pretty obviously.
This old girl can still sing. I'm more surprised by the paddleshifters. I'm always under the impression cars from this time period had sequential stick shifters.
This is nothing like the 360 GT. This is 99.9% 360 Challenge. The 360 GT sounds 100x crazier I guess due to not only no mufflers and no cats but also way more aggressive engine tuning and engine parts like the cams which give it an insane sound from idle to max RPM even with little to no throttle application (let alone WOT).
