@@KSL12 Thank you! Out of curiosity, do the active brake cooling ducts still function? These are the tabs on the front fender that open to cool the brakes when they get hot, then close back up for aerodynamics.
Very nice example of a pristine F12! I had the same issues with corrosion plus the „hot start issue“ (in the end changing the starter motor + switching to a Varta battery solved it incl. all the accompanying electric/electronic gremlins). Last year I suffered a gearbox breakdown due to faulty sealant rings between the clutch housing and the gearbox housing - needed to be sent in to Italy for a gearbox revision…I hope you never experience that.
@@KSL12 yes, of course! The issues are overcompensated by everything the car offers. I already put more than 30,000km on it, mainly on roadtrips throughout Europe. It is just a little bit annoying, that I had at least minor problems with the car every year since I own it (bought it in 2018). Last year I was extremely happy we finally solved the electronic gremlins and the car was working absolutely flawless...until the gearbox broke down :) The dealer told me the issue with the sealant rings is happening more often now that the cars that have the Getrag gearbox installed are gettting "old" and those sealants are failing more often now. It is a design flaw and has nothing to do with how you treat the transmission or how many miles you put on it (which makes it even more annoying in my opinion, as I am very meticulous about how I treat the car in general). Your F12 is a jewel, I hope you have a lot of fun with it and never sell it. The 812 - albeit it being a terrific car - just doesn't work for me. It doesn't look as good as the F12 and it drives more like a hypercar than a classic V12 GT. Performance wise I couldn't feel any difference between the F12 and the 812, but of course the 812 is the more modern car with fancier electronics and a faster and smoother shifting DCT gearbox. The F12/812 relationship is (in my opinion) similar to the 550/575 where the 550 is the more sought after car with better looks, silkier performance delivery (mostly due to a different ECU) and overall more GTness, with the 575 being the more modern car, however. Greetings from Austria
@@spiller212 Yes feel exactly the same about the 812 the F12 is a keeper. I would say it's the best Ferrari I have ever owned. Going to Le Mans Classic this year was going in the Portofino but think I might go in the F12. Looking forward to the better weather to get out in the cars a bit more. I appreciate you watching my video's Many thanks.
Hi depends on budget at the lower end you could buy a 308 gt4 for around £50k going up to a 308 gtb or gts £ 65k upwards. At the top end would be a Portofino or Roma for £150k-£200k. Good luck and thanks for watching.
