I have filmed the new Ferrari LaFerrari FXX K screaming around Fiorano circuit during a private test day reserved for customers only. Video includes tons of accelerations, downshifts and flybys, so make sure you turn up the volume because the sound of its 1050 horsepower 6.2-litre V12 engine is music to the ears!

Heard somewhere that this thing can outrun an f1 car? Certainly looks like it can! The speed through the corners is incredible, and the sound! Just phenomenal!

no. on fiorano it is 15 secs off the pace per lap, compared to an f1. it is probably as fast as old gt1 series cars such as mc12, on faster circuits. On the contrary to what most think, this is NOT a race car, but a mule car. however, on circuits like monza, its top speed down the main straight could be comparable with f1 cars or even faster.

what do you mean outrun? in a straight line? i dont think so, since f1 cars have a power to weight ratio much higher than this, i mean 750+ HP in something that weighs about 1500 lbs, while it may have more hp, it may weigh twice as much as a formula one car. i could be wrong.

Well, it could be, but in my opinion I don't think this is the situation here. Might be just a serial number for this specific car, or, if they have already started to sell them, it might be a choice of the owner :) Who knows..

on remark on the engine note. it is definitely much lower pitched than fxx. this suggests to me that the engine is essentially the same as laferrari's with a deeper modification only to the exaust manifold. fxx engines were very different beasts compared to enzo's, they revved a cool 2000rpm higher. ff, f12 and laferrari's engines are infact the road implementations of fxx engines.
