My cute ferret kits are eating on their own for the first time. They are 3 weeks and 6 days in this video. They are making a mess, swimming all over the food, but they seem to be getting the main idea :)

All four of my ferretts were trying to get inside my phone while this played. They heard the cries and were so excited and curious.. Just when i thought this video couldn't get any cuter!
Cute little dishlickers! I have four. A Silvermit, Albino Boy and two Sabre girls. I love Ferrets they are incredible pets. They sleep up to 18 hours a day but boy do they make up for it once awake!
thank for the video, they are soooo cute,my heart goes pitter-patter,we just got a ferret 3 months ago,he has brought so much JOY to us,he was heaven sent.😇😂
I read that wrong too and thought it said "Eating their own" I was like "WHAT?! They're eating each other?!" at 1:05 I thought that's where it was gonna go horribly wrong! I'm glad I was wrong!
phoenix lavrincz They are the best pet I've ever had. If you do decide to get one, make sure you do your research first so you can become the best ferrant you can be.
Correcting our hosts 'pups' for 'kits' is a bit hard. I suspect they're Scandinavian, and, as such, it would make sense for them to use 'pups' over 'kits', since 'kits' is pretty obscure anyway. Not to mention 'hob' and 'jill', which may or may not have a direct Scandinavian translation.
Are Jayem the direct translation is "puppy". we use dog terms for ferrets in Denmark. back in 2012 it was normal among nordic breeders to use "pups". I know they are called kits now, and that is the common (English) term we use now as well. but I think I might mess up the link if I change the title, thats why I haven't, as I know it has been shared a lot. Thank you for taking my side though :)
You're welcome. In 1989, my Dad and I first travelled Scandinavia, on a bus tour starting in Copenhagen. That is a glorious city - dripping with history. Standing very lost on a busy sidewalk with our city map, and older gentleman stopped and offered assistance, which was clue the rest of our 18-day tour would be wonderful. My Dad was so amused by town Middelfart we passed through, he took home a large map of that city, and HAD IT FRAMED to hang in his home. (Of course, f-a-r-t has a joke meaning for Amurricans.) Then Sweden and Norway. Over the next 3 years, we visited Sweden only, then Finland and Sweden. Met distant family in Goteborge, and found family history in Karlstad. I'd return to any of the 4 nordic countries in a heartbeat! Best to you.
Completely adorable :D Just a quick note though; for anyone who doesn't know ferrets that young (and even adult ferrets) can very easily drown even in shallow liquid if they are not closely supervised. Especially after they've been running around playing like maniacs, they can suddenly "drop" and if it occurs in or around water (or liquid food) it can be disastrous. Please keep an eye on your ferrets around water :)
@@AnneBank where can I purchase a hob and a Jill? My husband and I want to breed them but can't find anywhere or anyone that sells ferrets that are not fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you!
@@lillium4139 where are you from? If you are from the US I am afraid or can be hard to find fertile animals,if it is still the same as when I had ferrets. I think most US ferrets are from Marshall farms and neutered? In europe is is much easyer.
@@AnneBank yes We live in the United States. Marshall farms is where we got our ferret we have now (as you know they spay/neuter and de gland all their ferrets). I'm worried about purchasing over seas for rear of 1. The health and safety of the animal while being shipped over and 2. Being scammed and not getting intact ferrets or just getting taken for the money and getting nothing in return.
@@lillium4139 I think it would be difficult to get ferrets from another country, but over here in Europe we have no Marshall farms and it is considered wrong to neuter ferret kits, as it can cause cancer later on. So I wouldn't be afraid to be scamed. You must have some forums or communities where you can find someone with intact ferrets in the country. I know they are rare but there must be some?
I have 2 female sprite ( spayed) ferrets one is a chocolate sabel the other cinnamon. Named Miss Hissy ( chocolate sabel) and Pipsqueak ( cinnamon) They are such a joy. Love these little babies
