My unimpressive collection of ferro rods consists of: :) > $0.49 Chinese sandwich type ferro rod and magnesium. > 6x1/2" unbranded blank ferro rod with a lanyard hole. > 3" generic type ferro rod that comes with black handle and green hacksaw for striker. All of them work like a champ. :)

TBS (UK) make one that looks identical to your Friendly Swede XL. The TBS has replaceable rods that screw in too, so that may be a source for replacements.

Disappointed that you did not show all of the rods sparking capabilities. You only seemed to demo the more expensive ones. Not the cheaper one which some of us have to buy because of costs :-(
