got one of these in black to have as a back up in my trunk at all times for rehearsals/shows and down time at work, besides for a bit of fret sprout its been amazing. for the price its had to find anything close to this and if you need a cheap back up or one to travel with its perfectly capable

Thanks man! The polished frets were definitely a nice surprise. I’m gonna do a vid soon on fixing the fret ends, and I’m probably gonna hyper polish the frets while I have the board taped off 😂 😂 😂 because why not?…

Indeed! I've never really been a fan of Squiers, the one I had needed considerable fret work, had dead pickups, and was in dire need of a fretboard conditioning. That said, I know they're popular to mod, but at this point, I think there's some really great budget stuff coming out that are better options, Fesley being one of them

The ones that I looked at the blue ones and the pink ones were supposed to have a coil split so was the others when I called Fesley on it I really got no answer but if you go back to Amazon there are some with a coil splitter and there are some without a coil split when they first were introduced every color had a coil splitter on the on the humbucker

I mean, that’s a steal for that price, but that certainly doesn’t have any bearing on whether or not it’s worth $160… Guitar Center used to run Squiers for $99 door busters for the Holidays, good luck getting that deal now… Same guitar is $199 🤷‍♂️

@@FretboardDiaries Sorry ... that wasn't a steal ... that what they were selling for just 3 months ago. These things were selling for $99 just a couple months before I bought mine. Prices going UP!

Were they coming with a case and strap at that time? Just wondering… If so, Definitely a steal at $99 man, particularly for a beginner to learn on. Even at $160, for a beginner who doesn’t have a case and strap, to learn on and decide if you want to move forward, I think it’s worth it… A Squier would run you $199, plus case and strap, and still have the fret end issue and weaker single coils 🤷‍♂️ For me it will be a fun modding platform, I love budget guitars, and I’m going to have some fun with this one 🤘🎸

BTW ... After a neck set up, set the PU height, and a decent set of strings ... I think it plays pretty damned good for $120 - $150. I am planning on a change of PUs and switches ... and I think it's definitely worth the money!
